Epoxy Sculpting Putty by Tamiya

i build model cars and use this to sculpt modifications to things like bumpers and interior parts. this requires significantly longer curing time compared to the quick-type, which is great because it gives me more work time. i'm not a very good sculptor, so i need something that stays malleable long enough for me to get done what i need. for example, i was sculpting a rear bumper on a car and was having trouble with the symmetry. it actually took me an hour (a whole hour!) to do it to my liking, but the putty stayed soft that entire time, enough for me to add or remove, blend and smooth. the quick-type would've hardened within 10 minutes, not enough time for me. i usually let thicker applications of this harden for 24 hours, and when i do it sets very hard, yet it's still smooth enough i can take a carving blade to it with ease to get it within range of sanding. as for the quality, this isn't the crummy milliput stuff, this is high quality and durable. i've been using this for a couple years now and am very happy with it.

I'll get the bad bit of the way, it doesnt come with much of the epoxy compound as I'd like for the price point. That is usually the case with most products these days. The good thing is that it is super easy to work with. Tamiya offers different formulas with varying curing times, giving you longer or shorter drying times. I find it much easier to work with than Green Stuff. Its easier to mix and to mold. It's only down side, as I stated above, is how little comes in the package. You definitely will get more in a green stuff package (depending on vendors) than you will with this Tamiya product.

When I first bought and used this, I pretty much didn't like it. That was based primarily on the price and how much you get. But after using it a couple of times, it's probably now my FAVORITE!!! One of the plus sides to this, it has a very very long working time. I've read anywhere from 6-12 hours. As those hours click by it does get harder but believe it or not, it is still workable!!! A few things I REALLY like about it, when mixing it, it is tacky/sticky, but it doesn't stick to your fingers or leave any residue on them. It seems a lot softer when mixing and using it, compared to Aves or Magic sculpt. That's something I was really looking for. To me it seems like a combination of Aves/Magic sculpt and GREEN STUFF!!! It's cured or hardened product really reminds me of GREEN STUFF. It takes details when, but if you are looking for perfect or well defined details, Aves and/or Magic sculpt would probably be better. For my needs it's PERFECT!!!!

This epoxy is nice to use Again the only issues is there's no enough for big projects The price is a little high 20.00 for a little thing of epoxy Is to much, for $20.00 you should have a bigger batch to use for that price This is ok but not enough for big projects It dry fast and is durable to use it's nice but small for application on projects

My son loves this product! His Warhammer hobby is not cheap & he's not rich by any means, so making sure the products he uses work is necessary! Easy to use, just the right texture & adhesive quality.

Works amazing, bought it to use on a resin fursuit base to install the eyes. It cures fast and well, very strong too. Alot stronger than I thought honestly, if you're worried about cracks or breaks it might chip but otherwise it's very durable! Definitely recommend especially if you need a cheaper option for suit making!

First time using this material after yrs of using Magic Sculpt and Milliput. Worked out great! The adhesiveness is superb, but very sticky once initially mixed, apply on surface with a tool, I used my metal sculpting tools to apply and shape. Waited to shape and carve after 30 min, after 3 hrs it wasn't ready for sanding, but was perfect for more carving and reshaping. 8 hrs later, was harden enough to sand, but still carve-able like a dream. I think this my new favorite putty!

Good product but not enough for the price. Comes with a very small amount.

初めて購入しました。ドールの顔を削りすぎて薄くなっている所に裏から補修、表面にも使いました。 他のパテと混ぜて使ってみましたが、貼り付け安く扱いやすかったです。 また、手にべとべと付くのは水をつければ劇的にくっつかなくて良かったです。手袋を推奨しているのでできれば使った方が良いのでしょう。少量、石鹸でも落ちないパテは、Mr.カラーうすめ液で落ちました。恐らくエナメルリムーバーでも落ちそうな気がしますが、自己責任で。保管はどれくらいできるのか、気になります。
