Excellent!
These US coin books are excellent, especially for collectors. My son is absolutely thrilled and can spend hours studying them. There is a lot of useful and interesting information for coin collectors, presented in a clear and engaging way. The book itself is very high quality — glossy pages, colorful illustrations, and sturdy printing. It’s pleasant to read and easy to use, even for a child. The information is well organized and truly educational. Considering the quality and content, the price is very reasonable. I definitely recommend these books to anyone interested in US coins

Has a welcome to numismatics for beginners
I've been buying this book since 2007. While not always from the same vendor. Very detailed book for all United States coins, Hawaiian coins minted by the U.S. Philippine issues minted by the U.S. Private Gold and Territorial Gold, U.S. gold coins, Commemoratives. Price guides. How to grade, what to look for when grading. Just all around fabuoulus book.

Must have for amateur coin collectors
Great book of information. When it comes to value, always realize that it is quoting from the spot silver price of about $40 an ounce, which is way under what it is in 2026, but that would be for any book, so it’s not a detriment, it’s just something you need to consider. Overall, this is a great reference manual. I got the wired bound version and it’s a little difficult to keep all the pages where they will close properly after you use it, but the book and contents themselves are great.

good book
Great book. Full of illustrations and useful information that every collector needs. However I was disappointed that after waiting almost a month for the book to arrive, the lower front corner was damaged. This is because book was poorly packaged. ... I recommend this book. However I would not purchase it from this vendor.

Book is very comprehensive.
The best thing is it tells you the silver and gold prices at the time of writing. $32-silver and $2800-gold. This allows me to guessimate the real 2026 value of my coins as $79-silver and $4800-gold is around the new price but changes daily. I made a spread sheet to be able to plug in today's price to see present value. Of course the value is whatever someone is willing to pay, but it gives you a good idea. The book is easy to use and covers all kinds of coins and medals and commemoratives.

Whether you're a serious collector or a casual hobbyist, this book is essential for knowing what you have and what it's worth. Fantastic book full of knowledge. Absolutely a must have. It's gold, Jerry, gold.

these books are well made and hold up for lots of use. Seeing its the 79th edition should tell you , its the best. Its easy to understand and the information is very reliable, There is no other book than this one for a coin collector
