Best consumer electronics buy in years. Highly recommended.
I have a telecom background (wireless, fiber, commercial AV, etc.) with over 30 years of experience with both consumer and professional electronics. Over time I’ve grown pretty skeptical of most consumer-grade gear — they usually disappoint me because my expectations are set by their claims, and too often they fall short of their own assertions. I’m also from a small town in New England, so I’m naturally wired to look for flaws. It’s cultural. Try ordering anything more complicated than “light and sweet” at a Dunkin’ anywhere along the Northeast Corridor and you’ll understand what I mean. With that said, I only leave glowing reviews when a product truly earns it. This one earns it. Size: It’s big. If that surprises you, I don’t know what to tell you — maybe your dad never made you hold the tape measure during one of his 90% complete home projects. Mounting it may take some planning, but that should be obvious. Power: In my car, the accessory outlet turns off 30–60 seconds after shutdown. Even after sitting a week, no battery drain. As soon as I unlock the car, the unit powers on and connects to my iPhone 17 Pro Max via CarPlay by the time I sit down. This automatic behavior actually works well and doesn’t annoy me — which is rare. CarPlay Performance: Syncs quickly and reliably. The only MINOR issues I noticed: * The settings menu button overlaps with the forward/music skip button when you have certain apps (like Calendar view added) Not ideal but workable. With no events the Calendar does not show, or just delete from the stack in your phone settings for CarPlay (SEE PHOTO) * The touchscreen isn’t the most sensitive I’ve used. It’s not terrible, just occasionally a bit laggy. I waited almost a year before buying because I expected disappointment and a painful return process. I’m happy to say this unit exceeded my expectations. Setup was simple, audio routing works great, and my phone no longer sits in direct sunlight getting hot. (Note: I didn’t install the rear camera, so I can’t speak to that.) Bottom line: This is one of the best consumer electronics purchases I’ve made in a long time. Highly recommended.

It Just Works
I purchased this for my aging mother, who drives an older vehicle without a smart stereo. It was incredibly easy to set up and works flawlessly every time she gets in the car. I wanted something compatible with her iPhone that would connect automatically without requiring her to mess with any settings. Thankfully, it simply works exactly as it should. The unit feels like a quality product and has a nice, large screen that makes it easy for her to see her maps. She had used a Garmin for years, so this was a great upgrade. She now gets updated navigation and other modern features while still hearing everything through her factory car speakers. She loves it, and I couldn’t be happier with the purchase.

FIXED! - Randomly freezes when running
UPDATED REVIEW: Carpuride's service is really good - they contacted me quickly regarding my issue. The solution was to update the device with new firmware and sent a utility application to do this - which failed continually. However after suggesting I simply copy the image file to the TF card directly, it updated properly. 4 stars only because Carpuride does need to have a better infrastructure in place to manage firmware updates to their devices. <><><><><><><><> This is my 3rd Carpuride tablet I've gotten for my older vehicles. In general, these are a must-have for any vehicle that does not have an Android Auto/Carplay system in it already. They consistently connect, the back-up camera is really pretty solid as well as having the dashcam footage. At least that has been true for the W905 and W903 Carpuride tablets I've gotten. This one (W904) is the first one I've gotten that randomly freezes while I'm driving. The only work-around is to un-plug it and plug it back in, but it eventually freezes again. So 2 stars at this point for the W904. I've emailed support, so if there is a fix and I can verify it solves the problem, then a solid 5 star review would be in order. We'll see if they get back to me and fix the problem and I'll update my review.

Works on my Norden 901
I'm very happy with it, for the price point. I like that everything links right up and works very simply around town (maps, spotify automatically work through my headset when I fire up my bike). Since I have always used my phone for backcountry travel, I have apps that function outside cell service and I always download my maps before setting off. If you are not used to downloading maps and using apps that can access GPS without cell service, you may find this unit limiting. I don't think that is the unit's fault. You can spend 2x or 3x and get something a bit more seamless, but I think the slight difference between "around town" and "middle of nowhere" riding is not an issue. If you're riding hundreds of miles away from cell coverage and civilization, you are probably used to proper planning and preparation, so having to use some app other than the go-to map apps probably isn't a big deal. Please note, this unit works great outside of cell service, you just have to know what you're doing. I feel like all the options out there now fall into three categories: Solid GPS with no carplay (inconvenient), Cheap carplay systems (require planning when you lose cell service), and great hybrid systems (cost an arm and a leg). This is a cheap carplay unit, but I think with a few good backcountry apps and a sliver of planning, it is great. I machined a custom mount for mine (I bought it with the BMW adapter, since I have considered putting a BMW cradle on my bikes). As a note, the unit uses the mount as a heat sink. When you remove it, you will see the processor and a piece of thermal transfer foam. I feel like the stock mount was not ideal for wicking away heat, so I added heat sink fins to my mount. In its stock form, I might be a little concerned about heat in the middle of summer moving slowly through the desert in 110 degree heat. It got warm (not hot) just sitting in my 65 degree shop after a couple of minutes not even transferring audio or navigating. I may be overreacting, but if you are swapping out mounts, it may be something to consider. I love the size options, too. The 5" fits my setup perfectly. I don't want to feel like I have a giant tablet strapped to my bike that does occasionally get dumped in a sand pit.

Nice bright screen, no serious reliable mounting options.
At first blush, this is a nice unit, audio pairs up seamlessly with my pioneer, navigation sort of works. Not really a safe unit to use for nav or books. Don't try to find the camera when driving. Much of this might be my ludite skill set, after all I only owned a successful car stereo store for 20 years. One BIG issue that is not arguable is the mounting system. Cheap, flimsy, useless all come to mind. The attachment at the back of the panel is weak and the mass of the panel will break it if used for off road. The large suction cup arm that only slides onto the panel does not stay attached to the glass. The smaller bolt down style bracket doesn't fit all the way into the slots on the panel. they were not made for each other. The camera for back up will not maintain aiming as the bracket and hardware are to flimsy. these are the problems after about 1 week of use and I was really high on this unit initially. This is what you run into often when someone designs and builds something that must be installed to use. They won't talk to an experienced installer or pay some one to prepare a readable user guide. Same conceit that we always have seen. They think we don't have high enough standards to know the difference. If we continue to rely on cell phones, they will be right.

Great for a year. Now disconnects intermittently.
This was a great unit for about a year. I love all of the features. However after a year it’s intermittently losing connection. It doesn’t happen every time but happens off and on while driving which is annoying. I’ve tried to disconnect it and reset it but the issue comes come back time to time. Oh well. It was good for a year.

Impressive Unit
This is my second such device. I bought one of the 10 inch horizontal unit from another company for my other car and now this one. I must say this is pretty good unit, not that my other device had any issues as well. But for the good points on this unit...This is pretty responsive, bright and clear device. Camera looks good, although am only using the front camera for now. The unit looks sturdy with good mounting options and sound output options as well. It has pretty good reboot time of about 10-15 seconds to be operational after i start my car so works good for all needs of music or gps. Music from any previously used music apps starts automatically once its connected and is seamless and start screen for me is the gps and am using android play. My wife has Apple play but if i keep both configured it does not connect successfully or atleast am not able to make this work till now so only keep mine connected for now. Bad: - although the mounting points and options are good, the unit is heavy so its mostly should be a permanent mount and should not be thought of using it with different cars. The unit is also big so although this is also a good point for using it realistically for gps and everything is big and clear for directions and such, this is also difficult to hide on the dash. so that has to be given a thought. Personally I liked that it is big so all directions for gps is big bright and clear vs my other unit that is 10 inch horizontal low profile unit. I would say that this unit is little more responsive and touch screen feels nice, however since the screen is big its a fingerprint magnet. I would definitely recommend this as a daily driver unit for all practical purposes inspite of the price being little on the higher side as there are not many bad points on the unit itself in terms of electronics or its function

Great price and works!
Works great and for a reasonable price. It comes with multiple ways to attach it to your dash or window which is a great option for different types of vehicles. The size of the device is great. It is easy to set up. It is easy to connect to a device (my husband and I have Samsung and our kids have Iphones). Only thing I wish was that it had a way to adjust the device volume. I have looked and not found a way yet, maybe it is there and i have not found it. I can adjust my car volume but when I turn my car speakers to zero the device still has its own volume that is unable to adjust or at least I have not been able to find it yet. However, the price and the fact it does function like it said it would, is why I give it five stars.

Carpuride wireless carplay e Android auto camper

Seamless integration and great quality
I absolutely love the Carpuride Wireless Carplay & Android Auto with Dash Cam! It integrated perfectly with my iPhone, and I had no issues connecting via wireless CarPlay. The 10-inch HD IPS touch screen looks great on my dash, and it’s super responsive and clear. It adds a modern, sleek feel to my car’s interior. The setup was straightforward with good instructions, and everything works seamlessly with no glitches. The 4K front camera and 1080P rear camera provide excellent video quality, and the loop recording feature ensures I never miss anything important. I also really appreciate the GPS functionality and Bluetooth audio, which make it easy to navigate and stream music while driving. Overall, this system works flawlessly, and I couldn’t be happier with it. It’s a fantastic upgrade to my car and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wireless CarPlay solution with dash cam features.

Bueno.
