I recently purchased a Hidden Camera Detector from Amazon, and I have to say, it exceeded my expectations in every way! First off, the setup was incredibly easy. The detector came with a clear, concise manual, and within minutes, I was up and running. Extremely dangerous! When first turned on the detector I turned it towards my face to see if it was on and ended up shining a red laser beam into my eye. There wasn't even ONE WARNING about a laser beam coming on when you first turn on the detector. My eye hurt for two days and I am worried I may have done permanent damage. No warnings anywhere in the very tiny user pamphlet. If made in the U.S warnings would have been everywhere. There is only one line on the outside of the box with other information. It should not default to laser mode. God help children if they turn it on. It doesn't work any better than one much smaller and half the price which I will keep and return this one. Terrible and dangerous design with insufficient warnings and no better than much cheaper alternatives.

Who would have EVER thought that being in a private stall in a bathroom in a remote location would end up violating my right to privacy??!! Well, it happened to 31 women, including me. I was sickened and shocked when I had to talk to the FBI and saw they had pictures. Yes, of me. He had hidden a camera in a location that kept it well concealed but able to film the women using that restroom. Since it occured on federal property it was a federal crime and he is serving time in a federal prison. He will be released in about 2 more years. The FBI did do a sweep of the dark web to make sure the pix didn't go out there and thankfully he'd kept them on his own computer for his own sick purposes. When it first happened I bought a camera detector but it was a bit big and bulky. So I bought this one. Wow! Fits nicely in my purse and goes off instantly when it detects a camera! I tried it out in our home to test it. I've told all of my friends about this and sent them the link, plus offered to buy one for each of our daughters and granddaugters. A small price to pay for a feeling of security and it travels easily in a purse, backpack, or even a bigger pocket.

This works perfectly. I bought it for a trip me and my family were going and and we rented an Airbnb. We didn't find anything but we tested it on a camera we had at home and it detected it.

Great size , seems perfect sensitivity , only used at home , but detected all phones in house and each camera outside snd inside . Very impressed . Didn’t go off too soon . The instructions are easy just turn it on and go . The size is perfect for traveling . Holds charge and easy to charge . Connects to WiFi automatically . Great find for peace of mind In air bnbs .

I have tried on my Cell phone, both with video recording and not, and the device did not detect anything. As I purchased it mainly for this application, It was a total fail.I also tried to detect my computers camera with the same results, no alerts or any results showing there was a camera active. Since there is no way to know if the device is broke or doesn't work for this application, another fail. the signal detection seems to work as it picks up my WI FI router easy enough.

I return the item because it just didn't seem to work for the purpose that I bought it. It did not seem to go off when it should like with cameras that I knew were cameras and more on, and it went off with everything else, including every piece of aluminum, so even though it is a gauge concerned negative alarms made it almost impossible to find the real task. Also, I had a lost watch that I could not locate that I should've been able to locate and it did not go off to some cell phone cameras, however I did find some microphones in the TV and on the cell phones and many of the Bluetooth that you wouldn't expect as well as a neighbors television that has such a strong signal that it came through my house and I did locate one drone but it also had a lot of false positives , including everything that was aluminum so if you were using it as a tool in a hotel, you would spend more time trying to decipher what it was trying to tell you then to locate it. I did like the infrared portion and that did make it easy to spot potential cameras, but it also lights up everything that's reflective, so again a lot of false positives so many that I would suggest trying a different product. It was a cute toy and it might be fun as a party trick or something to entertain a teenager or young adult and maybe even for health reasons it's just a see where there's current , I was surprised to see that my neighbors Bluetooth speaker also pass through the walls of my house was able to use my cell phone to look at the Bluetooth to determine what it was, as well as a very strong television from another neighbor, but when I went online and put in the codes that my cell phone gave me it said those televisions pick up surrounding activity which you would not expect a neighboring television to pick up activity for the purpose of advertisement quite a concept so overall I think that the product was interesting but not effective for the task I purchased for which was to locate a lost smart watch that was active and continued to beep that I could not find it with this device
