Do you carry the natural scent?

In regards to the “Natural Scent”,  this is a myth created by the big brands to justify their poor quality. Bully sticks are made from bull pizzle and just like any other beef for human consumption (they eat this in Asia), it can’t smell bad, either raw or cooked. The big companies buy huge volumes and doing so, they do source from at least 10 different food facilities across South America and have a very poor or zero quality control. A stinky bully stick is a product that was not properly conditioned at the slaughterhouse before being sent to the food facility and or had the baking process which for us lasts 3 days, cut in half to speed shipping, leaving too much water inside, compromising the odor and quality. A good bully stick smells like beef, but can’t smell bad.

Given that they are from South America are they irridated?

No, they are not. We have our own food facility in Brazil, which means we source, make and package at the same place. We then use heat treatment (only high temperature) for 3 hours. Then, we pick about 10 bags of each new batch and send to the lab to test for any contamination. We only bring products to sell (always sealed, packaged) once we have the lab results. It is an FDA, USDA, MAPA approved protocols and facility. Extremely safe treats, facility erc. We truly care about your dog!

Irradiation is requested by 99% of other companies who buy their products in bulk bags, ship in container, and reopen and package themselves in their warehouses. We don’t believe this practice is safe and so we don do it. The best for any food is to be made and packaged in the same place, a food-grade facility like ours!

What makes it odor free?

A combination of factors: 
1. Quality of the fresh and always single ingredient, in this case, beef pizzle. 
2. Cleaning process: where we remove unwanted parts like fat, blood, and then we clean the beef in running fresh water many times; 
3. Baking process: bully sticks are slow-baked. A very efficient protocol like ours will keep a steady temperature throughout the process, that will slowly dehydrate the beef, reducing the internal moisture from inside out, conserving the meat flavor and protein (83% protein in our bully sticks). The less moisture or water inside it, the less the bully stick will smell.

NO chemicals, NO additives are used, ever. It's simply, water and baking.

Some companies out there say the strong odor is good, don't fall for that. This is because they source globally, from many countries and cannot control how their bully sticks are made.

Natural Farm is probably the only company that sells bully sticks to have its own facility. We make all of our chews in our state-of-art and human-grade facilities that FDA and USDA approved and inspected. Can anyone estimate about how many "Bully Bites" are in the 1 lb bag?

There are about 38 to 40  in the bag. Sizes differ. Some are up to 3 inches and others maybe 1 1/2. My dog loves them.
