Great for scanning black items
Pricey but works great to capture black items. Depending how much you spray on will prolong the working time. The first time I used it I may have used too much since it last all night. But once it evaporates, itโs like nothing was on it. Leaves your item clean without any residue. A must have for scanning black and dark colored items.

Helps but easily removed
The spray produces a light dulling film on the part that evaporates as described, but the coating is easily removed by any handling of the part being coated. I was using a turntable and the app requires you baseline the item, remove it and initialize the turntable surface and the replace the item on the turntable. It was nearly impossible not to remove the coating, resulting in some surface areas not being scanned correctly

Works great!
Very effective when used on reflective objects and the product disappears without damaging the item you spray.

Permanently stained the plastic and didn't scan all that well
I've been looking forward to using this for some time but the cost kept me using alternatives. I finally had a need to scan some electronics I didn't want covered in foot powder so I ordered this after numerous online reviews and praise. Before I attempted this on the more expensive product it was purchased for I tried it on an old TV remote. One I've scanned before with foot powder and worked awesome for. I like using this remote as a guinea pig because with no coating it's as good as invisible to my scanner. Regardless of the lighting.I shook this can up and sprayed down the remote with a coating similar to what I would use with the other spray. After the flashing turned white I found that I needed to reapply some spots that weren't as white as the rest. It was all white but not consistent like foot powder. I let it rest for 10 min or so and proceeded scanning. If the foot powder gave me an 8 out of 10 scan quality this gave me a 5 at best. It had trouble with tracking and there were thin spots in the mesh.Thinking I just didn't apply it thick enough I decided to wait and watch the magic this is known for. Within a couple hours most of the white was gone. After 6 hrs I noticed it wasn't getting less white in spots. This was true for the paper surface I sprayed the remote on.I gave it overnight to be sure and a little more came off but not entirely. So I started wiping it down and noticed it wasn't coming off, at all. It was stained whiter, almost like a UV bleach for the TouchPad and random spots it just seemed to etch the plastic. At this point I'm glad I tested it because I would have been quite irate if this happened to my other object. The only thing I can guess might be at work here besides it just doesn't work as well as claimed is the Amazon label looked very old like it was sitting on the shelf for years but I find this difficult to swallow.

Really does help on dark and shiny surfaces- but may attack paint, so test first.
REALLY helps scanning on reflective and dark colored objects. And it really just kind of evaporates or turns to dust after about 30-45 minutes. WATCH OUT for painted finishes though, it took some of the gloss off of a guitar body I scanned.
