domyfan 15.6" Laptop Screen Extender, 120% sRGB FHD 1080P IPS Laptop Monitor Extender Dual Screen, Portable Monitor for Laptops 13-17" with HDMI/USB-A/Type-C Plug-Play for Windows, Mac, Android

I bought this prior to a business trip. It arrived in plenty of time, which allowed me to test it before leaving. The set up was not difficult. The color coding on my cables helped with a quick set up. My laptop does not have the easier USB-C port setup, however, using the HDMI and USB-A combo cable connection was a breeze. The monitor assignment functions the same as any extended monitor. The video image is crisp and clear with no lag. I did not use the audio, so I am not sure about it. While on my business trip, I used the 15 inch monitor extension attached to my 17 inch laptop the first day, which was ok. However, I score an advantage with the removable stand. For the rest of my trip, instead of having the stand attached to the extension base, I used the stand - to - monitor option. This set up felt more free, much like my desktop and extended monitors at home, by allowing me to position and angle the way I like. And, the cables were easy to organize behind my laptop. I did not think about getting pics while on my trip, but I will get one coming.

I had spent a lot of time researching these laptop extenders. I was skeptical at best. I wanted something small and lightweight but something that gave me the extra screen I needed as I was travelling for a month. I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed this. The screen is about the thickness of a notebook and took about 30 seconds to set up. Clip easily to the back of your laptop after plugging in and it boots up and works. Fantastic.

Not a very secure attachment to thinner screens. Using an ASUS Zenbook Pro and need to put a thicker piece of foam in between to get it to stop from falling. Once its attached, if you dont move the computer it seems to stay in place. Will probably need to design and 3D print a clip to make it more secure. Color has a blue tinge to it and there is no way of adjusting the brightness or color. Windows 11 pro has no settings that allow me to do this. The monitor itself seems to be of a decent quality and I was able to connect with one usb c / usb c cable. Would give it a hgher rating if it was better secured to the laptop and if I could adjust the color/brightness.

I am giving 5 star because it really is a great screen for the price. The image is clear. It's good size. I love the stand.... That said, I used it twice before I put it in my backpack and the screen broke. It doesn't come with any protective case or anything. I don't like using the part that clamps onto the laptop that it folds into and prefer it as a table stand, because that part is VERY heavy- but I should have. I regret it.

Connecting it with the included cord was fast and easy. It functions very well as a second monitor for me. It’s not very large but I knew that based on the description. I wanted something I could set up and take down daily since I work remotely on my kitchen table and don’t want a permanent set up there. So far it’s been working great.

The first thing I noticed about the screen was how heavy it was. But that’s okay, most of the weight is the backing for the attachment to another laptop screen. The actual display is very light and can be detached from the “base” to allow for horizontal or vertical use. The attachable kickstand can be used on either and has a nice range of positions. The screen quality is great. Very clear and vibrant. The bevel is extremely thin so it’s all screen. The exposed (but enclosed) circuit board and light on the back of the screen is a neat touch. My opinion if you're traveling, ditch the extra weight of the backing that can attach to your laptop screen and just use the screen as a standalone extended screen. You won’t be disappointed with the screen at all.

I purchased this portable monitor for my wife for Christmas from Amazon. My wife and I absolutely love it! It’s incredibly easy to attach and detach from her laptop, making it perfect for work or travel for her. The setup was seamless, and the display quality is fantastic. It has truly improved her productivity, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient, high-quality monitor. Definitely one of the best tech purchases I’ve made!

There was no tension in the clamp or the "kickstand" behind it so not only did it not stay at the height where I needed it, the "kickstand" slowly gave way until its weight dragged it along with the actual laptop screen down, down, down. The display itself was merely "okay" after just trying to get my laptop to recognize it was plugged in. (And before you hop in with an ID-10-T error, I work in IT, so I know what I'm doing when it comes to peripherals.)

Sehr gutes Bild, einfach Handhabung/Einrichtung.

As a computer science student recently in need of a new monitor this has been an excellent buy since it is just so portable meaning I can fold it up and take it in my bag, since when its not in use it doubles back on the back of the laptop meaning I can slide it into the laptop pouch as one in my bag. Initial setup was pretty seamless and was pretty much just plug and play, I didn't even have to adjust the side/position of the monitor in windows it was literally setup and ready to go. However, I would recommend adjusting the scaling given this is quite a big screen - this just lets you have more screen real estate for text rather than the boarders of the windows or the taskbar at the bottom. The display is pretty decent quality especially in comparison to my pretty expensive dell latitude laptop. As a computer science student the additional monitor is excellent, especially being able to have it either portrait or landscape, the former being especially beneficial when coding since considerably less horizontal screen real estate is required. The one down side is it doesn't have a built in battery however, at this price it's not particularly expected since its a similar price to standalone monitor I was previously looking at to actually replace this. Despite this it does support power pass through meaning that if you only have one USB C port you can plug your laptop power into the monitor and then the monitor delivers both power and the video signal over a single cable! Overall consider the price, especially when its on sale, this has been an excellent buy, it may not be without minor drawbacks and from a company I personally had never heard of, however, with most things on amazon nowadays this is one of those brands that's the same quality and performance at a fraction of the cost of the big brands like dell and razer. For any student, especially any computer scientists, on a budget I would highly recommend this.
