Can you use these off shore more than 10 miles out?

I would think there would be a larger model for that far out. This is about the size of a shotgun shell. I have never fired it thankfully but wouldn’t count on it to go high enough for what you asked

Signalingmirror is useless.

The signaling mirror is useless. It doesn't come close to the easy of use and performance of vintage WWII or Viet Nam era Airforce signaling mirrors.
