I take this little thing to Dodger games so I can listen to the broadcast and it works great. Very discreet and the tiniest thing ever. About the size of a credit card and a quarter of an inch thick.

I bought this because I go to 20 MLB games a year and thought I wanted to have the radio broadcast in my year. I tried streaming it from my phone to a bluetooth earphone, but that was 25 seconds behind live. I also found a portable radio that transmitted to bluetooth headphones. But this was the cheapest, simplest, and best solution. Turns out that I don't like having the broadcast in my ear the whole time because it takes me out of the live experience. But it's great to have it available when needed, e.g., "is he hurt", "what is the manager arguing about with the umpire", etc. It's tiny, has a delay vs live of 3-4 seconds, and comes on immediately when needed. A bluetooth portable radio is bigger, has to be re-linked to the headphones when you turn it on, and bluetooth introduces an additional second of delay. Special application, but for me, this was the best fit.

One bug is you have to press FM/AM twice to switch to AM for some reason. The radio works. Quality on AM is usually bad on even my car radio. FM sounds clear like my car radio. The radio is very small: 1.15x8.45x4.8cm. I was not expecting it as the pictures made it seem bigger. The earbuds it comes with are worthless and very bad quality. It comes with a neck lanyard (which has a detachable end) since the radio is small and lightweight. I'd recommended this if you need a small radio. I don't know about it's durability though. One thing to note is that there is no speaker, so you need earbuds.

Probably the best little pocket radio I've had. This is the second one of these that I've purchased since my first one died after 4-5 years of great service. Great AM reception and sturdy. You may need to change the AM dial setup to match our US frequencies, but it is a simple process outlined in the instructions. FM sound is great as well—best value on the market.

Almost Perfect! Hey Retekess folks- add a little pocket clip (like I did) and a backlight for a perfect little wired earbud radio. The provided earbuds were "ok" but I like my $10 set better. All in, this is great value and gets almost daily use on walks and at the gym on rainy days. Agreed with previous reviews and positive comments. Added a pic of hot-glued pocket clip.

Gave four stars because three and one-half not an option. Have only used for about a week at time of this review and mainly on AM band. First, size is about same as quarter inch thick credit card. And it is light, about like a single AA battery. I was expecting a bit more heft, especially with a built in battery. Was a bit disappointed with AM reception. Is decent, but does not compare to a good table-top AM radio. For city dwellers likely not an issue, for rural folks the radio orientation matters. Otherwise, the button switches have nice click and feel. The audio jack which has caused me problems with many other devices is working very good so far but time will tell on that. I sat down and read the little manual to understand the memory functions, but is really fairly simple in operation. I use a lightweight Koss headset for listening and therefore cannot comment on the included earbuds. Can say however that sound quality on both bands is about what you would expect from a little radio. Not dynamic but decent. Screen is very readable for tuning and memory slot. Battery power bar though is tiny. Too small IMO. Have only charged battery once, so don't have a good handle on it's life other than it is exceeding my expectations. Lock switch works well. It prevents accidental changes in station and volume from button bumping while working. The ninety minute auto-off can be a pain but is minor point for me. If radio still working well a year from now would have no problem recommending without reservation. Update--6 months since purchased. Have dropped rating one star to okay. Biggest negative is battery life and the lack of a battery bar to monitor it. Imagine your cellphone quitting without warning because battery ran out. Unless you just took off charger and know the little battery is full, there is no way to know when it needs charging till it shuts off then only lasts a few seconds on restarting. No other complaints. Bottom line, radio okay but on a do-over would spend more and buy a full featured small radio.

I have bought this little radio many times over the years. This time it would not pick up the channels I normally listen to 1230. It jumps from 1226 to 1233. I returned it and ordered another thinking it was just this one radio. I have had to send back the second one as it does the same thing. What has happened? If I could give no stars I would.

Voice not clear

This is the second time I am buying this product. I bought two of these about five years ago, they lasted till very recently, so I bought two more! I am repeating what I wrote earlier as a review. My earlier comments given below in the next paragraph still hold good, except for one change: my old BOSE speakers conked out, I now use the latest SONY XM-5 noise canceling speakers. Fantastic product! Small, light, and with a carry strap. Takes about an hour and a half to fully charge its built-in Lithium battery. Lasts about ten or twelve hours on a full charge (I bought two, while one is being charged, if I need to listen I use the spare!) Sound quality depends on the quality of your headphones. I use a set of BOSE, top of the line headphones, the sound is perfect. I would strongly recommend this item for anyone who wants to listen to AM or FM while walking around, or in the gym, or in public transport!
