Good DIY tower.
The tower appears to be of good quality regarding 'home use' target. I found the sections easy to handle and erection was simple using directions supplied. Only first few sections erected to test, and it is quite stable for home use. I found it to be fairly stable but I had not yet added the stabilisation legs. These would undoubtedly of improved stability. Overall I am happy with my purchase. Beats a ladder hands down.

Fits the older style narrow heavy weight tube galvanised scaffolding towers.
Perfect, been looking for these for years but living in Ireland no one was selling them to Ireland from Amazon.co.uk. All of a sudden these stopped being not available (to Ireland) so I bought a set. These fit perfectly on my very very old scaffolding tower. I was given the tower 45 years ago a few years old back then. Its heavily galvanised and is still as good new. The leg adjustable leg base plates aren't as heavily galvanised but they are good enough. Will probably need to put some white spray grease on the threads for storage. These fit the very old scaffolding with a main upright tube external diameter 33.8 mm and tube internal diameter 27.8 mm. That particular scaffolding has the sockets welded over the main upright tubing. Not that it makes any difference but the version I was sent was exactly the same as the one advertised. The upright is a hollow bar and the screw thread runs from top to bottom. About halfway up the screw thread is "spoilt" so you can wind the adjusting bolts past that point. Now if the seller TOPTOWER Ltd wants to sell me a set of Toptower Scaffolding Tower Adjustable Castors, they are poised ready on my wish list just in case they make them available to Ireland.

Don't fit scaffolding tower unless you use a insert like i made up

Improves tower stability
Used the scaffold tower a few times and used wood spacers under the feet to stabilise. These base plates and really worthwhile and I now easily set the tower with a spirit level. A quick check of the plates afterwards identifies whether any are slightly loose and if so quickly adjusted. Once done the tower is far more stable. Probably around 100mm of travel so anything more requires a block spacer which obviously does not need to be the precise height. Well worth the outlay.
