I've been using a Henson razor for a few years and have been very happy with it. I have been using Remay shave gel and was very satisfied with it. When I saw Henson has a shave cream, thought I would try it. This is the closest, most comfortable shave I have ever had. I will keep my Remay gel for when I fly as it is easy going through TSA. But Henson is my new stand-by at home.

Those of us dinosaurs who shave with single blade razors (a compromise for straight razor usage) also often use brush and shaving “mug”. It seems to me that today’s soap cakes don’t lather up nearly as well as before. Henson’s shaving cream fills the breach. It doesn’t take a lot of the cream to generate a good lather and it will be as warm as the water you use. I believe I have found my go-to shaving cream. No more gel cans that decompose to some poor lather if they sit under your sink.

Smells good and works well. I haven't been able to replicate the lather from the ads but I can get a good lather using a brush and bowl. I am disappointed that it is twice the price of Prorasso and comes with less.

Felt like you never shaved… Skin is so smooth and moist afterwards… I almost don’t need to put an aftershave balm..

This shaving cream is okay. I bought it with the Henson safety razor and the rk blades so i thought it'll all work best together. I have used it for a week but the product doesn't seem to have enough of a foam no matter how much I lather. The shaving cream I used before for cartridge razor even have better foam and texture than this one. It feels more like a very sticky cream. I decided to change to a different one.

I've been using the Henson single-blade razor with a Japanese steel Feather blade, along with a traditional foam. I don't have a thick beard and only have to shave once a week, but my skin is sensitive. I found the Henson/foam/Feather combo effective, but not comfortable. I was skeptical of the Henson foam, but I should not have been. Wow! I used a shaving brush to whip up just a little bit of the Henson cream and created a nice, shallow (thin) foam. Then, when shaving. It was incredibly comfortable even with a blade I've used a couple of times. I am afraid to tell my wife to try it, but will share the find and the cream. If you have a Henson blade, I'd go for. A little bit goes a long, comfortable way.

Just a small dab goes a long way. Great for a smooth shave using the Henson straight blade!

I was excited to try HS's new shave cream with my HS razor, but was disappointed when I actually used it. While it has a very nice consistency and fragrance, the moment I started using it I found that it made my shaves increasingly painful. This was even with using a pre-shave oil. I am not one to write reviews frequently, but I have never experienced this with any shaving cream. If this is reformulated, then maybe it' s worth giving it a shot. Otherwise, I suggest buying a different shaving cream.

This has a nice scent / goes on smooth and does provide a good shave. If you have sensitive skin - it will still cause slight irritation. Nothing major - but it should be noted. The price is slightly more expensive than it probably should be. The razor is very good and highly recommend Henson.
