DEWALT DC825KA 18-Volt Compact Impact Driver

This is the best overall Impact Driver ever made. The combination of speed, impacting, torque, battery life, durability, balance, weight and price of this tool comes second to none. Yes, the 18v NiCads are dated. Yes, there are brushless impact drivers out there. Doesn't matter. This is hands down the best impact driver there is. I know there is a ton of scientific evidence to the contrary, but I am still not sold on Lithium battery tech. I have and use several Milwaukee M12 and M18 Lithium power tools. Unless you buy the 4.0Ah+ batteries (which are ridiculously expensive), battery life is crap. I don't care what the label says, what the charts show, or what the perfect world online video tests show. In real world usage, Lithium doesn't live up to the hype. Certainly not enough to spend hundreds more. The only real advantage of Lithium is charge/discharge cycles. You will get more charging cycles with Lithium over NiCads. The impact driver itself has the perfect amount of speed and power. There just isn't any point to having a faster no-load RPM impact driver. Anything faster than this and you are just wasting battery life. Same goes for torque/impacting. This drill features the maximum torque/impacting you could every need out of a 1/4 inch impact driver. Anything higher and you start breaking bolts, screws, drivers, etc. and waste battery life. In terms of durability, none is more durable than this tool. You will have to try real hard to break this tool. In summary, this is an outstanding impact driver. This is a must have for anyone with other 18V Dewalt tools.

Perfect tool for a girl's power garage! Even with the big battery (it lasts forever!) it's a nice, balanced weight. The extra ooomph of the impact driver, plus the solid weight, makes that last few turns of the screw easy.

This dewalt 18v has plenty of power. I love the light, the size, and most all of the features. The only complaint I have is that it has an ozoney burnt smell when you use it, but it seems to lighten slightly the more i use it. I called dewalt corporation and they informed me it would go away over time. Can't wait! Over all I love the driver love the driver.

This worked beyond Great when I built my deck and fence. It blows away using my cordless drill. It is well balanced and compact in your hand and the torque is great. I was amazed at the difference it made. Battery lasted all day on screwing deck boards without weakening. On top of it all it came with 2 batteries something I was not expecting.

The driver itself is great, we already have one and were looking to purchase another. However we did not get the driver, charger, 2 batteries, and hard case as pictured in this listing. Instead we only got one battery and a canvas bag instead of hard case. We decided to return and buy somewhere else.

This is the strongest impact-driver you'll find around, and for a great price! I use it on almost every occasion involving assembly. If you are not familiar with how an impact-driver works, essentially this tool allows you to drive screws into the toughest of materials (with almost no effort at all). I would encourage you to look at youtube videos illustrating the tools innerworkings as it drives; the way in which it 'drives' (mechanical down-press -> followed by short drill-spin -> followed by quick-release off head -> followed by repetition of same cycle) allows your screw-heads and drill-bits to never strip. It is a must-have multipurpose tool for every occasion, and this package-deal in particular that includes the batteries is hard to come by.

2x18 volt batteries a charger AND the tool !!——I’ve read reviews thru the years across the spectrum from the best tools built to imported garbage. I can only relate my experience. I bought a combo kit at Costco 20 years ago when I married & purchased our first home. All those tool are still working perfectly 3 homes later. Several tools have been added to the collection thru the years & this driver is the latest. It really has incredible torque compared to a regular drill, I should have picked on up years ago. I’ve been tempted to go lithium power and I would if I needed new tools but they keep going. I’ve heard there’s compatible 18v liion pack & when my current group of pack need replacement I’ll investigate. I’ve gotten aftermarket nicad packs for $23.00 that have worked great so I’m having a hard time justifying the expense of lithium. By the way the deal I’m writing this review about is the driver tool , two 18v xrp packs & a charger for $92.00. Heck this is as much as you’d pay for two dewalt brand batteries alone. I’ve had extremely good luck with dewalt tools. I received nothing for my review. I’m not associated with this product. I recommend this product.

This is one of the best tools i ever bought. This driver is light, compact and very powerful. Drove 400, 3 inch deck screws with one battery. I had tried the Bostitch impact driver with the new 18v Li-ion batteries and i only drove 140 screws. Ni-cads might be heavier but they last a lot longer. This one was made in July of 2013. and has a quick connect chuck, Just push the bit in and it locks. I had the older Gun with the same model number made in 2011 and i had to hall out on the collar to insert the bit. Anybody looking to buy an impact driver this is the one. Like i said this is a wicked tool and you wont go wrong buying this.

This is one of my best purchase of the year. Strong and light. Now I know why I saw a contractor working with that impact driver. Fast delivery. The only thing... For a few box more, I saw a local deal after I ordered this one, including a Cordless drill . I should have wait a bit longer. It was almost tow Tools for the price of one...

Not sure how I lived without this. I barely use my drill now. This is lightweight and has great torque. I love the quick change chuck on it, it is so quick to swap bits. If you have Dewalt and are debating on getting this. Stop and just get it. I got it for a fantastic price and had an additional discount for a Dewalt promo. The price was barely more than ordering 2 batteries which came with it!

I already have this same driver at work, we use it to tighten the small nuts on open web steel joist x-bracing, so I know its a good tool (when we drop them it's 15+feet). Price on Amazon couldn't be beat and quick free shipping.

Have had this for quite some time and used lots! No issues at all! Great quality!
