This diagnostic tool is outstanding!! I’m so happy with this purchase, after using autel and launch tools I got this one as it had more features, AND, lifetime free updates, as long as they keep providing them. The UI is very easy to use and intuitive. Value for money, it’s probably the best buy at this price.

This is a great diagnostic tool!.. I have been using this little scan tool for the past week, and I am very impressed by its performance and functionality. I own a few other more expensive scan tools, including Autel and Snap on. And I can say, that this performs just as well and with more functionality. It is able to display 12 live data graphs, which is a huge advantage over my other scan tools, when diagnosing faults. And with lifetime updates, this saves me the ridiculously over priced subscription from Snap on, to keep up with newer models. I would highly recommend this tool to anyone, whether a DIY mechanic, or a Technician working in a garage.

So easy to use and does the job right from the start it is probably the best that I have used just gave my old snap on away only six months old cost me a fortune to use .All the code's are so easy access and work's well . As for value for my snapon cost around £3.000 . so it works, good value,and it so much quicker than my old one,and appearance is first class so clear and precise thanks again........

Great piece of kit for the price. Only issue I have is the lack of ECU coding but that is specific for certain makes so that’s understandable. Would highly recommend and looked for this as a good budget option with good longevity as it has free lifetime updates.

Having used a basic OBD tool for a while, Thinkcar scanner is miles above the basic tools . I'm an avid DIY car fanatic and have found this to be helpful in diagnosing car faults already. The functions it has to be honest rival a few year old tool costing thousands. Highly recommended.

Ignore My last review this diagnostic tool is unusable every time I go to use it I get errors I’ve done all the firmware fixes made sure everything is up to date the online support isn’t very helpful just ask the same questions over and overs again getting nowhere Problems I’m getting: Communication errors (most cars I plug it into) Crashing on smart scan (most cars) even glitches the vci out to the point I have to re download the vci firmware fix Can’t even access CBS on BMW’s it crashes and dose not respond when in the menu Sometimes when you finished a diag session it will beep to remind you don’t forget the vci but the confirm button will disappear leaving it constantly beeping at you no way to shut it up apart from shutting the diag down and restarting Power hungry in just one 10 min diagnostic session the battery dropped 20% Very limited to coding functions After giving it time I strongly disappointed in this diag I have been resorting back to my older diag what’s more reliable so unfortunately I’m requesting a refund

Just buy it if you are working at cars. For its price you cannot go wrong. As a DIY mechanic it is really good value for the money. I have an Audi and I can do as much as my skill shall allow with this device.

Ausführliche Version: Ich habe das ThinkScan 689BT jetzt eine Weile im Einsatz und bin insgesamt sehr zufrieden. Direkt nach dem Auspacken konnten alle Updates ohne Verzögerung heruntergeladen und installiert werden, was einen guten ersten Eindruck hinterließ. Besonders bei Mercedes-Fahrzeugen zeigt das Gerät, was es kann: Viele Steuergeräte werden erkannt, Aktivtests funktionieren zuverlässig und auch erweiterte Funktionen wie ECU-Codierung oder das An- und Ausschalten der Start-Stop-Funktion liefen bei mir ohne Probleme. Die Fehlerdiagnose arbeitet präzise. Fehler werden korrekt ausgelesen und zusätzlich bekommt man die Fehlerumgebung angezeigt, was bei der Ursachenfindung enorm hilft. Ho comprato il ThinkScan 689BT da qualche settimana e devo dire che funziona bene. È molto veloce nel collegarsi all’auto e leggere i codici di errore, più rapido di altri strumenti che ho provato in passato. L’interfaccia è semplice da capire e le funzioni principali (lettura, cancellazione errori, reset, ecc.) lavorano senza problemi. L’unico difetto che ho notato è la batteria: si scarica abbastanza in fretta, quindi conviene tenerlo collegato o ricaricarlo spesso se lo si usa per più auto durante la giornata. Per il resto è un buon prodotto, solido, con uno schermo chiaro e reattivo. Lo consiglio a chi cerca uno scanner affidabile e veloce senza spendere troppo.
