Apple 2024 iMac All-in-One Desktop Computer with M4 chip with 10-core CPU and 10-core GPU: Built for Apple Intelligence, 24-inch Retina Display, 16GB Unified Memory, 256GB SSD Storage; Silver

Having recently set up the 2024 24-inch iMac with the M4 chip, 16GB of unified memory, and a 256GB SSD, I can say it has been a fantastic addition to my home setup. Truthfully, I normally don't write product reviews, but I’m making an exception for this iMac because I’m just so pleased with it and wanted to share my experience so others know what to expect. Aesthetically, the blue color is very pleasing—rich and bold on the back with a softer tone on the front that looks great on a desk. Apple’s signature minimalistic design really shines here, keeping everything clean, sleek, and uncluttered. The large 24-inch Retina display is an absolute joy to work on every day, and working on a big monitor like this is so much better than being hunched over a laptop. Naturally, if you are a student or need a portable laptop for work on the go, an all-in-one desktop won't fit your lifestyle. But for many of us, the iMac is meant to be the main computer for the home. Its lack of portability isn't a negative point at all—it simply caters to a completely different clientele that values a dedicated, comfortable desktop station. The screen itself is brilliant, with colors that are incredibly bright, crisp, and vivid whether you are reading text, catching up on media, or organizing personal files. Thanks to the power of the M4 chip paired with 16GB of memory, work moves much faster than on older machines. Everything responds instantly, apps open in a flash, and day-to-day computing feels entirely effortless. My usage is strictly for private and personal reasons, so the base 256GB storage capacity seems to be more than enough for my needs, especially when paired with cloud storage. However, if your needs go beyond typical household tasks—like managing massive video libraries or heavy local media—you should definitely consider stepping up to a larger storage option at purchase since it can't be upgraded later. Beyond the core performance, the small details really round out the experience. The built-in speakers produce surprisingly rich, room-filling sound, and the upgraded camera makes video calls look sharp and natural. The included color-matched Magic Keyboard with Touch ID makes signing in effortless, and having four high-speed ports on the back gives plenty of options for plugging in accessories. Like with almost every Apple product, the price tag sits on the higher side. That said, you are truly paying for top-notch build quality, seamless reliability, and excellent customer support if you ever need it. Overall, it’s a beautifully balanced, high-quality desktop that makes daily use a real pleasure, and I am thoroughly happy with it.

I love this computer. Still the newest model too even in 2026 almost 2027. Apparently the m4 processor still outcompetes most windows all in ones making this one of the most powerful office all in ones you can purchase. I run this with my external ssd 2 tb which is all I need for this office setup for now. Highly recommend this all in one. The color on it is great. Runs a little hot at the center bottom but apparently that’s part of the models design for heat dissertation. If it bothers you I put a clip on fan on my monitor lift and point it at the bottom center and it cools off in no time. I guess it’s a trade off that you get for thinness of the body. :shrug

I only own mac so this one is grreat quality and I don’t mind the price. Set up is super easy and the screen is large with easy accesss ports. I highly recommned.

I really like my desktop! It’s so much better than working from a laptop. It is vibrant and sleek!

So far, so good.

Apple just works

What a beautiful thing. If you are on the fence… Get off and pull the trigger. You will not be disappointed.. By far the nicest thing i have purchased for myself in forever.. As far as computers go, the U.S. the best you can buy. IMHO

This is my second iMac, and I don" know if it's me or the computer. I'm really struggling with it. Also, I sure hope you already have a keyboard you like because the one that comes with it is "cute" but worthless, for me.
