Tapsi 2.2" Round Double-Sided Adhesive Pads for Dash Cam Mount, 4 Pack

If you need to mount something and you want it to *stay* mounted, these pads are the real deal. I picked them up for a specific job: securing a MagSafe docking station that I 3D printed, and they were excellent for making sure the base didn't slide around on my nightstand. Seriously, the adhesion is super sticky—you just clean the surface, stick it on, and it’s not going anywhere. I would say these are definitely for the DIY crowd, or anyone mounting dash cams or small monitors where you need a permanent fix. Just a warning, though: the only downside is that you'll have a hell of a time repositioning or removing whatever you stick down, so make sure your placement is right the first time. Five stars because they absolutely did what I needed them to do.

I got a dash cam for my truck last year, and it’s been nice. The only downside is the included suction cup mount fails as soon as the heat turns on in Arizona summers. I would get in my truck and the camera would be dangling from the cords. After some research I found these adhesive pads that are specially made for high heat situations like mine. I got these a few weeks ago, and immediately installed one per the included instructions. Several weeks later and my camera is exactly where I placed it, where I was re-mounting my camera about every other day with just the suction cup. The size was a perfect fit for the existing suction cup. The instructions were clear and I had the camera minted in minutes. These work even in 100+ degree weather. Highly recommended if you find yourself frustrated by failing suction cups every other day.

Nice and adhesive. I used it for my car to replace the pad that was provided with a car mount that failed. These work great. A bit large but that's ok.

so far, so good. only been up for a few weeks and it's been cold. I need to see how well it sticks in the heat. circles are much larger than they appear, so I had to cut it to size.

Waited months to post this review in order to be sure the sticker pad would hold up under the southwest U.S. desert sun and heat, and it has. I used it to secure my steelie phone magnet base to my car dash, because the sticker that came with the Steelie wasn't good enough. I had to cut it out of the bigger pad size but it wasn't any trouble to do that. I also used another cutout of the pad to secure my car dash solar dancer. Both have remained firmly in place for over 6mos now.

bigger than expected. worked great. Ended up being just what I needed. If it was to big you can cut it. Very nice.

Here's the problem. If you are attaching this pad to a rubber suction mount, check to see if the mount flattens out against the glass it's being attached to. I was using this to mount a Garmin GPS unit on my windshield. I didn't notice that the rubber suction part does not fully flattens against the windshield. It does not. So, what's the big deal? Well, this pad attaches to the rubber suction disc just fine, but then only part of this disc adheres to the windshield as you cannot flatten it out completely. You only get a ring around the rim attached. And that is not enough to hold the GPS unit when the windshield gets hot. So...my current complaint is with the installation instructions. I'm not sure if I can even get this pad off the rubber suction disc on my GPS unit mount. If I can, my plan is this: Take a new pad (this product), remove one side of the covering and attach the pad to the windshield where the old one came off. Doing that first so I can press it on firmly to the glass surface. Then remove the other side covering this pad. Now apply the primer that comes with the pads to the rubber suction disc and then stick that on the pad already attached to the windshield. Yes, it might be a little bit harder to line up, but it will stand a much better chance of holding!!! I'm not at all worried that the rubber suction disc will release from this adhesive pad. That bond if plenty good. It's the pad attachment to windshield that is weak!!!!!!!

Worked pefectly for my parents old nextbase dash cam for where i couldnt find a new base for, been on a month or so and no signs of it un-sticking, had to trim down to the size of my cam mount.

These would have been perfect however they didn’t work with the item I intended to use them for! Extremely sticky, thin enough not to big, strong and great value for money.

Have a very old dash camera, which is now on its fourth vehicle and still working. Got fed up with having to wet mounting pad to get it to stick to the windscreen. Trying these, as an alternative, and so far they are working.
