I've always had Windows desktops but decided to switch over to an iMac, Wow! what a beautiful piece of tech. Fast, responsive and a gorgeous screen. Still getting used to things, but catching on quicker than I thought. Very intuitive setup. So glad I purchased this.

This iMac is a replacement for my older iMac computer--it is a great update. There are a few disappointments with the new iMac, however. Many of my accessories run through USB ports....the new iMac doesn't have any USB ports. So that forces purchasing dongles to convert to the new lightening ports or purchasing a hub that accepts the older iterations of USB. So that is the only criticism I have with this iMac. I like the speed of the SSD but again many of the configurations offer 256G of resident storage. So to satisfy the necessary additional storage, you have to purchase an external device. That is exactly what I did. I purchased a hub that also allowed a variety of SSD cards to be integrated and serve as additional storage. Both integrated seamlessly and have performed without any hiccups. So there are easy workarounds for the new configuration of the iMac and reasonably priced.

A much needed improvement from my past Mac. The previous Apple computer I had was an Intel-chip Mac from about 11 years ago. Purchasing this was such a jump in speed and quality, as expected. I am not one of those that has everything Apple; in fact, this is the only Apple product in our house at the moment. Because of this, features like AirDrop and some other things that basically require you to be in the "Apple ecosystem" are of very little use (to me). But that's not too big a deal. The screen is a really nice size (bigger than my old model) and the colors are always so vibrant on Macs. The sound quality is great as well. Everything runs really smoothly so far, but I haven't run super demanding programs (like CAD) much as of yet. I helped set up a friend's and I believe their's only had 2 USB-C ports. The model I purchased has 4 ports. I don't think 2 would be enough for my needs - I'm really happy with the 4. I also like that the model I got has the Ethernet port right on the power brick. The model my friend bought didn't have the ethernet port, so they had to buy a USB-C ethernet adapter. Even though I have a Windows PC and a Pixel phone, this iMac works really well for me despite not experiencing the full-compatibility one would have if they had all Apple products (iPhone, Macbook, etc.).

THE top quality desktop computer. If you want the best in all respects, buy this Apple desktop. If you want to use Windows OS 10 or 11 and all the apps that go with it, then add PARALLELS to your buying list. Parallels allows you to run all Windows products in a separate memory partition on an Apple desktop. With this combo, you will have the best of both computer worlds, and your operations either way are totally hassle-free. Unbeatable!

Got this to replace a 2019 intel iMac that had become clogged with "system data" that I was unable to clear. Screen is larger and clearer, and so far system data seems under control.

Saved about $400 buying from Amazon Resale in mint like condition. The box was a little distressed but the description was accurate, all the packaging materials were intact and nothing seemed used. I purchased this to replace my 2020 MacBook Air M1 that I sold on Marketplace because it wasn’t getting used much. In terms of speed, the M4 doesn’t seem much different than the M1 during casual use. The screen and the speakers on the other hand are miles ahead of the MacBook. I also appreciate the fact that Apple ditched lightening cables and peripherals for USB C. The internal 512mb hard drive has some size limitations so instead of spending a fortune on upgrading to a 1tb internal, I purchased a OWC Express 1M2 40gb/s enclosure and a 2tb WD Black SN850X NVMe SSD. With this external combination I keep my photos, music and videos on it. Speed test using Black Magic is hovering around 3200 MB/s read and write which is phenomenal. For Time Machine, I purchased the Crucial X9 Pro 2tb USB C SSD drive.

Apple still has the best all-in-one desktops. I’m not an Apple fanatic, I’m just stating my most non-bias opinion. The size is great, the speed is great. My only complaint would be where they set the usb charge port on the mouse, but that has nothing to do with the computer itself.
