I have the waiver 5 gallon jerry cans and it holds them very nicely with no shift. I have an arb roof rack so I had to modify a bit, works great.

Holds the gas cans pretty good, there is slight movement but it ain’t going anywhere. The material they used seems high quality. The nuts and bolts they give you are very small so a little hard to put together. I’m glad I spent the extra money on this and would buy again! *I’m using the Midwest Jerry Cans and they seem perfect for this holder

Its good for what its for but it could be a lot better. Design and build quality is far below what I would expect from such a reputable brand. My biggest complaint are the flimsy and cheap latches they've used. They are small and get so clogged with dust that you have to use tools to get them unmatched. Up to this point they've held up to the abuse.... but im pretty sure every time I have to whack it with a wrench to free up a stuck latch... Im diminishing its life. Even worse the hole they give you to insert a lock is the smallest ive ever seen. Even if you could find a lock small enough to insert... it would be easily cut. Im sure a more robust latch is available and possible... but not with the way they've designed this mount. The ONLY redeeming quality with this mount is, it does the job. It securely holds two jerry cans on my roof rack and as difficult as it is to open.... those Jerry cans aren't going anywhere Im using it for now... but im pretty disappointed with it.

This is a good idea that needs some better engineering. What is up with the super small bolts ? The nylocks were a good touch but half way thru trying to put these tiny M4 nuts on M4 bolts, I was ready to make a list of bolts and nuts for a run to Home Depot, then take my drill and bore out the holes bigger for bolts you can work with better. And the rear hinges could be done better. How about leaving the tangs that fit thru the slots another 1 - 1/1 inches longer so they don't spring out of the slots at the slightest touch. Or even putting some real hinges bolted back there. If I was doing it over, I would buy 2 single jerry can holders and strap them together. Addendum : I decided to put my money where my mouth was, so I added some simple improvements to this Jerry Can holder. I cut off the tangs at the back side of the hold down straps, and added 1 1/2 inch hinges using 10-24 bolts and nylocks. I added 2 support cross bars made of 1 inch x 1/8 inch aluminum flat stock bar. This adds much more stability to the hold down apparatus, it doesn't twist and flop around now, just folds back to give you access to the cans, then folds over them and latches. I am going to use this in the bed of my Jeep Gladiator so I added 4 rubber feet so it wouldn't slide around. Over all , I really like this jerry can holder now.
