Does this liquid have optical brighteners in it?

I dont think it has the optical brightener in it, nothing mentioned in ingredients.

This product arrived with the damaged cap who do I contact? as I cannot return it due to spillage reasons but would like a refund/replacement.

Way too late I know, but if I have a problem with an item I go directly to Amazon rather than the seller. They can usually issue a refund without expecting you to return the item.

No, it doesn't smell strong, pleasant floral smell. Not really noticable once clothes are dry.

Can you also put this directly in the washing machine, on top of the clothes? Or does it go where the laundry powder normally goes?

I do both. When inside the machine, I use a dosing ball.
