Loved this product. Just what I needed after hip replacement. I have a tall bed and needed help lifting my surgical leg onto the mattress. This lifter was easy to use because of the stiff wire inside of it. I was able to sit on my bed, guide the loop at the end of the lifter onto my foot with my leg extended, and gently lift and guide my leg onto the bed. Wish I’d ordered it before my surgery instead of several days into recovery. It really was helpful in my ability to help myself, rather than relying on assistance at bedtime.

You wouldn’t think that such a low tech device as this could make so much difference to your life. I recently (8 weeks ago) had hip replacement surgery. Getting in and out of bed the first few weeks was a seriously painful challenge. On the advise of a friend, I got this leg lifter. It made all the difference. The very first time I used it, I realized it would change the course of my recovery because I no longer had to wait for help to get in and out of bed, or put off doing that out of wanting to avoid pain. With this simple strap, you’ll be able to painlessly lift your leg to help with getting out of bed, getting into and out of cars, and even though I didn’t have to use it with a wheelchair I can’t see any reason why it wouldn’t be just as helpful with that task. I highly recommend this product.

This is a great tool for anyone with stiff joints had a recent knee replacement or just doesn't have the strength to lift your leg up for those high SUVs. Works good, just wish the flat part of where your foot goes in the triangle was a little sturdier it would be easier to get on. But a great invention.

This lifter with 3 lifter loops is very helpful for those times when you need more help lifting or positioning your foot. It is best for people who have some degree of ability to move their leg and just need an assist. If the leg is totally immobile it is still useful but much harder to move the leg simply because the leg is heavy. Overall very well made product and will get lots of use here

Waste of money. Skinny little wire that bends & rolls around in the nylon casing. Not made with handicap people in mind. Sturdy to me means doesn’t bend so you can lift. Helping Hand has awesome Leg Up, super sturdy!

This was a life saver....Only needed it for a couple of weeks but it really helps swinging you leg in and out of bed or in and out of a car. Is stiff so you can get your foot in it.

I bought this product to help lift my foot high enough to get into a pickup when my hip is hurting, I chose it because it has a couple of hand grips that make it easy to get a short enough grip to pick my foot up high enough. However, it is not designed very well. It comes bent into 3 pieces and I cannot get it completely straightened out. The nylon covering the interior wire twists around making it hard to align the grips with the loop to put your foot in. I am able to use it but I think it should be shipped straight and not bent into 3 pieces and I think the nylon covering should somehow be attached to the inner wire so the grips stay in line with the foot loop.

Is great to use after hip surgery. Easy to use independently. Highly recommend it.

After a total knee replacement surgery Having this rigid leg lifter was of great assistance in hospital. It made my life so much easier and manageable. By being able to support and aid leg movement I suffer fewer sudden pain episodes. The extra hand grips are also handy when getting in a vehicle.

It works well. One can lasso it to the foot and lift the leg conveniently, and easily guide the whole where needed. Recommended.

I received this without the metal inside that makes it rigid. It’s just a soft band of material so of no use whatsoever. I don’t understand why because I’ve ordered it before and it was rigid and very helpful. I decided to keep one in the car and another at the bedside. I will however return the second one. Afraid to order again don’t know what I’ll get. Maybe I’ll try to get it at shoppers home health instead where I can see what I’m getting. Very dissatisfied.☹️
