PMP Exam Prep Over 600 Practice Questions: Based on PMBOK Guide 6th Edition

This is a must-have tool if you want to get prepped for the PMP. Excellent, thought provoking questions, with answers that explain things. Yes, there are a few typos and errors such as repeated questions, but they are easily overlooked when you consider how much this book will prep you for the exam.

I took the PMP exam recently and I am relieved to write that I passed on my first try. Part of my exam preparation was using this book to quiz/test myself on. If you can get 80% of the questions answered correctly, then consider that a pass for each chapter and/or practice exam. These questions are A LOT harder than the actual exam questions. However, these questions help you think 3-4 layers deep of why the answer is correct. That is the key to passing. You have to be able to think a few layers deep to understand which answer is correct. This book is a great supplement to test your knowledge and orient your thinking in order to prepare yourself for the PMP exam. Good luck to all those who embark on this certification.

Pretty good questions. I feel like they represent the material well, and seem to be on par with questions from other legit sources. Typesetting in this book could be improved. More annoying than a functional concern. First chapter has repeating questions. Chapter 5 or 6, the question numbering is off. Starts at 2,for 32 questions. Answers start at 1 for 32 questions in the chapter. So question 2s answer is numbered as 1 in the key. Question 3s answer is numbered as 2. Pattern progresses all the way to question 27. There are 2 question 27s. Which is where the questions and keys sync up properly. These things are all a matter of better editing and typesetting needed. Otherwise, this book is recommended.

This book was my life saver. The questions were extremely similar to the test and the answers were a great way to study and learn the material. I took the exam recently and passed my first try. I took a course and had study material but I think this book helped me really get there. Comparatively, this book had questions that were closest to the exam than any others I saw. Get it if you're trying to pass.

I’ve been using this book to practice questions for the PMP exam. I rarely ever write reviews on products but I feel I really need to in this case. For the most part, the questions in the book are excellent. They’ve been helping me review key concepts and afaik, are very similar to questions on the PMP exam, however, I’ve noticed one too many typos, grammar mistakes, and even questions that were answered incorrectly. I’ve had to ask my PMP instructor to validate on a couple of cases so far and there are definitely incorrect answers in this book. I honestly expect better from a book with a full chapter on quality management than this. Again, the majority of the questions are fine but it’s really irritating finding mistakes in a book I’m supposed to trust help me pass the PMP. I hope the authors put more efforts into reviewing the questions before publishing the next version.

I purchased this book as a prep tool before taking my boot camp class and ultimately taking my PMP exam. I found the book to be very challenging and it was instrumental in passing my PMP the first time. I went through all questions in the book 2-3 times each. It gives great reasons why an answer is what it is. I would recommend this to anyone taking their PMP. Passed today w/above target rating.

Took the PMP exam this morning and got AT on all sections. I used this book along with a another study guide. After going through 4 different sources for practice questions, these questions are the closest to the actual exams. Some of these are harder than the actual test. The explanations are like a mini study guide, very detail. The questions are mostly scenarios to choose the "best", "most", "first", etc.. Overall I was able to learn how the questions on the exam was worded and how to select best answer. Knowing the question format is a key to passing. If you are not familiar with the format, would be like trying to run with learning how to walk. This is a must have.

This was a great book to test your knowledge of PMP concepts. I read it all twice less the final exam along with 3.5 months of study after a bootcamp and it filled in alot of gaps. I obtained my PMP I'm happy to say! I subtracted a star due to there's a few questions that were incorrect per my instructor. The book has many typos however that did not bother me for the wealth of knowledge that came with it for the price.

Some of the things I have noticed: * Formatting of the text is inconsistent, sometimes with bigger font, bad alignment, missing spaces between words here and there * Some answers are missing though an explanation is there: Page 63, question 31 and 32 * I saw some questions from Rita Mulcahy's PMP Prep (or vice versa? ;-)) * The same context is given in a lot of questions but in different Knowledge Areas * I had the feeling some of the terminology did not 100% align with the PMBOK All in all it's an OK book to purchase for the price and good practice for the exam. I still have to do the mock exam and will update the review after that.

It is just a NIGHTMARE to use! It is full of typos, so when it comes to checking your answers, you have to read in detail or even find the answer from other sources as the answer given sometimes does not correspond to the question. I spent more time checking my answers than learning anything. After taking the Mock test, reading through questions for 3 hours, battling to know your score is RUBBISH!! Unacceptable quality for a book that is supposed to check your level of comprehension of a very detailed guide. Honestly upset I wasted time and money on this!
