This is an aerosol and provides protection from all biting insects, where the maximum does not. I always carry this when hiking or out in the countryside.

Does this repel spiders?

I can't answer that, but I would say no.

Can this be used for kids age 10 years plus?

I believe so but read the instructions, different age groups has different uses and for clarification go to Google and check it out. Hope this helps a bit. Also check with a pharmacist for peace of mind.
