Great family fun
Great family entertainment, kept us busy for the evening with no screens involved! Kids aged 15 and 12 both enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend for a fun games evening.

This is currently £14.99 (on offer at £11.99), and it’s a proper murder mystery party pack rather than a quick family board game. It’s much more involved than I expected, with character packs, invitations, name badges, props, police reports, fingerprints, clue cards and even QR codes with music. You send out the character invitations in advance, and each guest gets their own little pack with background information and prompts. There’s only one set murderer, so once you’ve played it, you can’t really replay it with the same group as there aren’t alternate endings. It does hint quite clearly on the back of the box too, so you’d want to keep that hidden from guests. It says 4–12 players (minimum 4 to play), and I’d say it’s definitely better with more people — otherwise the process of elimination would be quite quick. You’ll also want a decent amount of space as some of the activities require room to move around. The components are mostly card and paper rather than laminated, so durability might be limited unless you store it carefully (or laminate bits yourself). Overall though, for the price, it’s good value and would be great for a hen do, birthday, or a themed dinner party if you enjoy something more immersive than a standard board game.

Good family escape game
My 9 year old loved this. The puzzles were slightly challenging but solvable for her and we had an enjoyable time playing it together.

Excellent family game for all ages!
Excellent! Played this with family, children aged 8 and 10, both really invested in the story and puzzles, and grandparents who were as interested and thoroughly enjoyed the game! Will be trying the other themes.

Set Of Puzzles
The set is presented in a cardboard envelope-style package with booklets, clues and some press-out pieces. I wouldn’t really call this a game, rather just a set of puzzles. The ad pictures are a little misleading as this version does not include the notepad or the picture frame. There is a QR code to scan to watch a video, but it doesn’t really tell you any important information, I guess it is just to set the mood. There are 18 puzzles to solve and fill out on the answer sheet and you start off in room number 1 of the map. Each room is colour coded to match one of the puzzle cards until you get to the 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 area – the puzzles for these are in the Book of the Dead. Some of the puzzles we solved on our own, a few with help from the first set of clues and one we needed an extra clue too. There were a couple which were fairly easy but most of them did make you think a bit so it was quite entertaining. Sadly, it’s not the sort of thing you can do more than once unless you have a really bad memory!

Brilliant family fun
Bought to create a game night on New Year’s Eve. 3 adults a 12 year old and a 9!year old had a fantastic night chatting, working together and sharing. The quality is excellent the images on each section of the story are beautiful and really relate to the story - everyone loved it. Only one very very minor issue one of the activities asks you to plot onto a grid and two A6 plots are in the instructions - this did not detract from the resilt. What is fantastic is that you cannot cheat you have to work through each challenge to solve it. The whole family loved it and because we took time it lasted all night.

We played this as a family with our youngest being 7. This was fun for all of us. The illustrations are beautiful. I appreciate that the publishers include a link to be able to remake anything that may damaged in play. The quality is great but I did print extra because the items were so cool, my kids wanted some to play with, like the jewel, potions, and key. When we play these, we have a different person lead each puzzle. The difficulty varied with each puzzle so it worked out beautifully for our family dynamic. Our youngest was able to lead a few without help. I recommend this for family fun! It is replayable so we put it away for a couple months and do it again.

Fun, fun, fun. You need to have more than four people to make it interesting. The ability to scan the QR code and have online clue experiences was nice. Looking to buy another.

I love escape rooms and escape room games, so I thought I'd give this one a try. I was quite surprised at the quality and artwork, especially since everything fits in just a small envelope. I also loved the variety of games as well. There are a few things that use qr codes (the intro and a music playlist), though I really don't feel like either were needed as you can easily play without them. I did enjoy the extra touch though. I don't want to give too much away, but as far as the play through, I thought the games were a little on the easier side and one of the games with the potions I thought was a little lacking on the labeling. I also thought the hints were totally useless as they mostly just restated what the game was. I also wish that they had a slightly different set up for the solutions, because you can't check the solutions without seeing the entire page. We ended up giving the booklet to someone that wasn't playing and would just ask them if we were right, that way nothing was spoiled for us. Even with with the things I didn't like, we still had a blast playing and I could easily see someone playing this as a group or even solo play. I thought the value was well worth it.
