Terrible!
The flavor and texture was off and was almost expired. I can get really great Mochi in Japanyown so this is my last time ordering this. Actually every single time I buy food from Amazon it is dented expired or terrible in some way. Buy some at the store locally or just make your own.

fake mochi and fake sugar
This comes in a tray with three packets and the instructions on the package are not that clear unless you speak Japanese or have a video translator, but the desert is also kind of self explanatory. You mix all the stuff together in the tray! It does not taste too bad so long as you do not mind gummy treats, but it did not really taste like mochi to me. I ordered this when I saw mochikon thinking it was a mochi treat. It is in the mochi spirit with the gummy-ish texture, but I think it seems more like the texture of konjac noodles. I liked the green tea flavoring and syrup, but I was despirited to see fake sugar in the ingredient list. My partner cannot tolerate fake sugar but was not bothered by the fake sugar when tasting this. I think if you find fake sugar bitter, the taste of green tea will mask that. The large patty of konjac did end up giving me gas and upsetting my stomach. I can often eat konjac noodles in small amounts so I think the patty was just too big for me to eat in one sitting. I did not find the ingredients or taste experience to be so exceptional that I want to go back to have more.

Complicated to make
I was hoping this was already made and ready to eat but I guess that's not the case since we need to heat this up and mix in the powder. I wasn't the biggest fan of the texture and taste of this dessert even though I like matcha and mochi. The flavor was too sweet for me and it tasted a bit artificial. Other than that, if you follow the instructions correctly then you'll end up with some easy to eat mochi.

A Healthier Take on Japanese Dessert
I love Japanese desserts and was excited to try the matcha-flavored konjac mochi. Having tasted traditional mochi before, I had certain expectations for its flavor and texture. However, this version is slightly different, as it’s made from konjac—a healthier alternative with fewer calories. I found konjac to be chewier and denser than traditional mochi, so it’s definitely an acquired taste. That said, the matcha powder and syrup were delicious and spot on.

Have to cut up the mochi yourself
I was a little bummed when I got this that the mochi comes in one giant package, instead of little separate balls. You also have to put the syrup and powder on yourself, and the instructions are in Japanese. I found this product a little too confusing to really enjoy.

Healthier alternative to satisfy your sweet tooth!
This snack is the perfect treat for someone who is health conscious because konjac has 0 calories! I noticed a fishy smell when I first opened up the package which was offputting at first but then after a quick Google search, I found out that the fishy smell comes from the konjac root itself. After you add the matcha and matcha syrup, there is no fishy taste at all. I thought that this snack would come powdered and cubed so that they would be ready to eat but then upon opening the package, I found out that you could have to cut the konjac yourself and put on the powder yourself as well. Since the konjac is pretty wet, the powder doesn't end up looking powdery like the photo if you try mixing it in to cover every single side of the konjac. As long as you don't mix in the powder, you can retain that powdery matcha powder look. The instructions on the package is in Japanese and I was able to interpret the instructions using Google translate. This dessert is similar to other Japanese snacks that I have had before where they have you assemble it yourself. The konjac, matcha powder, matcha syrup, all come prepackaged in a separate plastic where you would have to open each individual package in order to start assembling your snack. As someone who really enjoys these DIY snacks, I really enjoy this DIY matcha snack and it might also be fun for younger kids as well. You would have to cut up the konjac jelly into bite sized pieces with a hard mini cardboard knife that is provided. It is a bit difficult to cut with the mini knife so it might be easier to get a real knife to cut it. It is not clear whether you put the powder first or the syrup first, but I tried putting the powder first then followed by the syrup and it turned out fine for me. I later noticed that the listing photos suggests you to put on the syrup first then the syrup. I will try the suggested method of serving to see if that would change up the flavor. Their listing photo didn't mix in the powder either, so I would advise against mixing in the matcha powder to help achieve that powdery look. To be clear, their matcha flavored powder is not 100% matcha powder. The matcha powder is mixed with kinako powder, which is a nutty roasted soybean powder. This matcha flavored mochikon tastes pretty good. It's not too sweet, which is on par with most Japanese desserts that I have had in Japan. The matcha flavor is not too overpowering either and the kinako gives a slight nutty flavor. The listing describes this dessert to have a mochi like texture, but if you get this snack with the expectation of it having a mochi like texture, then you will be disappointed. The texture of this snack is more of a jelly-like texture. If you have had konjac before, then you should be familiar with the texture. The texture is pretty similar to other konjac jellies that I have had before.
