I love my Kindle! Update!
I have had my Kindle for over a month, and I am still excited about this Kindle. However, I just saw that it is on sale (Black Friday Deal), and I wanted to cry. It is now $45 less than what I paid (excluding the cost of the charger and case; add another $60 to that $45 (Ouch!)).Then, I had to have a talk with myself, and it went like this: Trinigal, stop being upset! You are fortunate to have purchased a Kindle that works well, and doesn’t have issues (like others who have shared the dissatisfaction with their Kindle). You are still enjoying your reads and always looking forward to your next read. I then chuckled to myself, and said that the title of the next book I select should be: When is the right time to buy a Kindle? My original review is below:This is my first Kindle, so I don’t have any other Kindle to compare it to. I usually read a physical book, books on my Computer, IPad or iPhone. This Kindle makes a difference in my ability to relax while reading a book. It is an awesome device that is portable, light weight, and convenient.Although I like reading on my IPad, it will no longer be my go to device for reading (When you know better, you do better). My house is full of unread books that I bought over the years, and that really bothers me because I just couldn’t find the time to read (being a professor with lots of other academic books to read, I gave those academic books priority over a good novel). Now, I am at the point where I want to read books for relaxation purposes. I chose the Kindle Paperwhite Signature edition as part of my incentive to read a good book.I researched this Kindle for an entire month before investing in it.Let’s get to the workings of the Kindle:This 7 inch Kindle is easy to hold in my hands. The IPad truly strained my hand when I tried to use only one hand when reading. At times, I had to lean the IPad on my thighs for support. Now, there will be no more hand to thighs when reading! The Kindle set up was very easy, and user friendly. I did not experience any problems connecting to the internet. After set up, with bated breath, I waited to see how the pages turned on the Kindle, and if I will find any fault with the action of turning the pages of the book I was reading. I am happy to say there was none; no noticeable long lag time, no problems were experienced with the turning of pages on this Kindle. Then I squinted my eyes, opened my eyes wide, I turned the Kindle upside down, and side to side while turning to the next page of my book; I was trying to see if there will be any trace of the previous page as I turn to the next page ( ghosting; some users experience an imprint of the former page while moving to the next page of their book). Happy to report, I tried hard to find a problem with that but I found none. What about the battery? The battery charged very quickly, and there was no problem during that process. I did charge the battery with the case on the Kindle, (as the picture shows). The Kindle came with an 80% charge and in 30 minutes (or less) it was fully charged (100%).I am hardly ever swayed by reviews:Sometimes reviews work as an incentive, or a deterrent….I always say, try an item out and make your personal decision. This Kindle is a keeper, and I am also going to purchase the new Color Kindle Colorsoft. Conclusion:This Kindle paper white Signature Edition , Gen 12/32 GB, is truly made for reading. It is certainly a handy device for traveling, and reading on the go. It is easy on the eyes, and therefore, easy on the brain. The raspberry color is really nice, and I plan on buying an extra clear case so that I could easily see the vibrant color of the kindle.I am honestly excited to be part of the Kindle family!

A Great Reader
I am really enjoying the larger size, the light, some of the new features. I have not had to charge the Kindle since I started reading my first book. It fits in my purse. I'm happy I have the 32 GBs. I studied the options and I am happy with my purchasing choice. :)

It does one thing and does it very very well.
I’ve missed having a Kindle. I had a Fire many years ago that got left after a breakup (wasn’t worth the hassle of having to see her again. lol). The Paperwhite Signature is great for what it is. I can’t help thinking that it’s pretty specialized though. As a tool for reading text anywhere I want to read, no matter whether in bright sunlight or in the dark of my bedroom, it is excellent. But it’s no tablet. If you’re looking to search the net or watch videos, look elsewhere. It’s very light compared to that old Fire, there are near infinite options for text style, size and lighting conditions. I’ve used it on the deck in bright sunlight and it’s perfectly readable. The warm light function was a big selling point, as I’d rather not break up with this one since I married her, and she doesn’t like the light of a phone when she’s trying to sleep. I really do think I sleep better without the blue light, though that could be placebo. I dunno.Did we take a technological step backwards with the Paperwhite, with its monochrome screen? It feels like it. But I bought it for one purpose, and for that purpose it seems to have no weaknesses. Loads books fast and the 32 GB of storage means I can load more books than I’ll ever have time to read. If you’re a voracious reader like me, get one.

Wonderful upgrade from my old paperwhite
This kindle was bsolutely worth the upgrade! I've had an older kindle paperwhite for years and used it daily, but the slow interfaces, wierd negative visual effect when flipping pages, and lower contrast screen were always kind of annoying. The price of this device finaly dropped to just over $100 so I decided to upgrade. The screen is noticeably larger, contrast is high enough to make cover art thumbnails more visible, interfaces are noticeably quicker, and page turning is fast with no negative image flashes. I also appreciate the adjustable backlight temperture and automatic screen brightness adjustments. Overall a great buy and a worthy upgrade from my old paperwhite!

The Kindle Experience
This is my first ever kindle and it has been an... experience. I got the signature edition.First, I love that I can visit the kindle store and my own amazon wish list that has all of my books. I don't know if that was just something all kindles have or what but it's really cool! And don't even get me started on the size; it's perfect for traveling and such, so you can truly read your favorite books anywhere. The digital storage? Love it! I have about 70 books on this thing and I'm not even scratching the surface of the storage! It's very convenient and extremely easy to set up.I'd say the money was worth it for sure, and the price seems reasonable when you start reading. I got the black kindle and I really like the sleek look of it. The selection of colors? Truly astounding and very fashionable. Amazon really knows how to make an aesthetic device! It's not too laggy and really, the only issue I've had with it is pairing my T21 earbuds to listen to my audio books. That's a bit frustrating, but I'll be looking into that soon. The AI recap is very useful, so I've heard. I don't typically need the refresher, but if I ever do, it's there! Everything is easy to access on the kindle and I think the set up is genius! The dictionary on there, which I discovered last night when I was using the feature to view what a word meant, is amazing! You don't have to pause to look it up or anything! You just simply highlight the word and it gives you the definition automatically. You can even view all the words you've ever needed to look up!Overall, I'd say the kindle is worth the money and easy to use, even if you're not familiar with it. I would recommend this as a gift to any reader.

Best present ever
I am absolutely obsessed with my Kindle Paperwhite in metallic raspberry. I genuinely did not expect a reading device to elevate my reading experience this much, but it has completely changed the game for me. The color is stunning and feels so much more fun and personal than a basic black Kindle. It’s sleek, lightweight, and honestly comes with me everywhere now.As a mom, finding time for myself can be hard, but this has become my favorite little escape at the end of the day. I can read in bed without a bright light, throw it in my bag when traveling for work, and carry an entire library without lugging around heavy books. The battery lasts forever, the screen feels just like reading real paper, and it makes getting back into reading so easy. This is hands down be the BEST Mother’s Day gift. It feels thoughtful, practical, and luxurious all at the same time. If you have a mom in your life who loves books, needs more “me time,” or deserves something just for her, this is it. I can’t stop recommending mine.

Great Kindle- it’s worth the money
I love my new Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition! It’s lightweight without being so small that the screen is hard to read, and it’s easy to use. I love the ease of page-turning with this Kindle as well.
