Ur Game

Really fun game that is easy to learn.

Excellent game and a very well made replica 'board'. Took our game rules from Youtube British Museum video, and we've had a very competitive time. A whole game can change on one roll of the dice (there are 2 sets included so no need to pass them across each time as you've one set each), it's just a great game! Look forward to increase our depth of gameplay/knowledge but it's as easy to play as snakes and ladders with little instruction.

Utterly addictive, huge fun for the whole family, it only a few minutes to understand the basic rules (there are various versions, definitely worth checking out the video by Irving Finkel online!!), but performance will gradually improve with more tactical finesse. This reproduction is not quite as pretty as some of the more expensive versions available, but it is still a very decorative object, and perfect for playing.

The Royal Game of Ur is a great game, but it was only thanks to the well-known video from the british museum feat. Tom Scott and Irvine Finkel, that I knew the "propper" rules. The rules that come with the board are strange and we tried to play it, and found it a rather dull game which was easy to win. Notice that The Royal Game of Ur is, apparantly, played with 7 pieces and this game set comes with 11. Nice build overall, hence the four stars. The rule book could, as mentioned, had contained the popular rules.

I love this game, easy to learn the rules but can be quite strategic the better you get. It's a nice set as you can store the pieces inside.

Brilliant game that's lots of fun for two people! The instructions that come with it are very different from other instructions online and YouTube and I preferred the YouTube ones so would recommend finding those.

Fantastic game that is easy to understand, yet competitive. Bought it for my history enthusiast partner who has thoroughly enjoyed it, as have all our friends.

Simple but Challenging Game for 2 Players

Item turned up on time and in pristine order. Great game from about 4500 years ago.

Gioco ben fatto ,peccato per la mancanza di regole scritte in italiano.il gioco dura più o meno una mezzora(per chi conosce bene i vari trucchi).

Jeu très intéressant, même s'il faut se documenter un peu. Choix de ce modèle, car il y a beaucoup de dés pyramidaux, ce qui s'est avéré important. En effet, ces dés sont binaires (1 ou 0), on additionne les valeurs de tous les dés lancés. Avec beaucoup de pyramides, les chiffres obtenus n'ont pas la même probabilité de que pour un dé cubique unique....), c'est un des trucs à connaitre.

So much fun! It’s interesting to feel the same joy and frustrations as people did thousands of years ago (my family uses the Irving Finkel rules). That, and the board is well made and sturdy. Really wonderful piece.

So viel Spaß aus der fernen Vergangenheit!!! Die Regeln sind einfach zu verstehen. Meine 6 jährige Tochter hat mich beim 2. Spiel geschlagen.. 5 Sterne dafür. Das Holzspiel ist zudem gut verarbeitet. Werde gleich noch mal eins für Weihnachten bestellen. Ein tolles Geschenk.
