So after reading the reviews I was a little concerned about setting this printer up, however I have to say it was so easy, used the scanner code thingy, follwed the guidance steps and done, easy. I have used it and I am impressed it scans quickly and prints well, a little noisy compared to other printers but not too noisy i can't hear myself think. The app is great, easy to use and understand, excellent value for money, a great little printer for home office use.

For the price, this is a great machine. Set up was easy, if a little lengthy. After set up machine did nothing but after turning power off and on again it worked perfectly. This might have been specific to my machine but if not it should have been in the instructions. Feels a bit flimsy but print quality is adequate. Easy to navigate properties and the print preview - so lacking in so many modern printers - is great. Very annoying Canon ink sticker on top which leaves a sticky residue when removed. Ink cartridges provided are surprisingly full and extra large replacements are under £30 for 2. Overall, best printer I've had for the price range.

Awful printer. The wireless feature is so hit and miss and you need to wait to so long whilst it decides if it wants to print or not. The quality of the print is so so low. I managed about 12 pages from the ink that's included (not photos but there was some colour on each page of a document) before the ink ran out. I totally understand the included ink isn't the full ink. So I purchased more and the XL cartridges that I annoyingly stocked up on have managed around a 20 page document each. The 'black' text on the high quality white paper is wishy washy grey. It's never been black. The colour isn't accurate whether saved as CMYK or RGB. No contrast in text on colour (such as highlighted parts of text) which shows fine on other printers. Even by cable the printer rests every couple of pages. 9 times out of 10 doesn't even try and print. The price of the ink alone I could have had everything I've managed to get from the printer professionally printed AND delivered. Honestly it's junk. The menu screen is useless too. DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!

Really excellent bit of kit. Easy to set up, no discs all done on line. WiFi connectivity is excellent with mobiles as well. Print speed is better than my old one, and a really good replacement ink package.

When I print from anything other than the canon print software the image will have feint lines as if there is an issue with the print heads. Which wouldn't be much of an issue if the software wasn't so basic. The UI is like something from the 00's and is missing functionality that I can get when printing from other programs. Redundant popups that are just frustrating when I'm trying to work efficiently. I like the subscription ink service, it's been working well and it seems like good value. But... the free "return envelope" is UK only which is useless to me in Ireland. Customer service have been really wonderful to deal with when I've needed to. Overall it's a good little printer that is just a bit fiddly and canon are making it worse with their software. Will be upgrading to another printer from another manufacturer as soon as I can afford to.

Good, reliable printer. Sometimes have problems getting it to connect with my phone but have found it seems to be more reliable if the printer is fully on and ready before you open what you want to print.

It's consuming cartridge so fast
