The media could not be loaded. I bought an Annke video doorbell originally as the Annke CCTV I have is faultless. Disappointing, sent it back - 'nuff said. Having seen the excellent reviews for the Tapo TD21 on Amazon and YouTube, I decided to order it. Where do I start? First and foremost, it's super easy to set up. The still images and video quality are razor sharp and the viewing angle (fully adjustable), is wider than most. And, unlike a lot of other video doorbells out there, you don't have to take out a subscription to access all the fully customisable features, they come as standard. Yes, you can opt to take out a subscription, but I chose to install a micro SD card instead, which captures events perfectly. Detection-wise you can set it to any combination of motion, person, pet and vehicle. Battery life is pretty impressive, too. Since fully charging it and installing it some several weeks back, it's at 87% and that's after having a good play about with it, tweaking all the settings. An excellent mid-entry video doorbell from Tapo range and reasonably priced - great functionality and, of course, peace of mind. Best of all the Amazon delivery drivers use it! If If I had a gripe, it would be it's not available in black. All in all a neat video doorbell - thoroughly recommended.

The Tapo TD21 video Doorbell is an excellent video doorbell for the money, the sound and picture quality is excellent and it covers a wide viewing angle, almost a fish bowl type of image. The doorbell picks up 4 things, people, pets, vehicles and Motion Detection, each of these can be turned on and off to suit your circumstances so for eg. If you lived on a farm you'd probably turn off the animal detection etc etc. A plug in chime also comes with the doorbell that you can position anywhere around the house, it is quite loud pending which sound you opt for but there are 6 to choose from.Out of the box the Tapo doorbell is fairly easy to set up, it connected to my Wifi with ease and everything needed to mount the doorbell on your door or wall is in the box, a handy template is included that allows you to mark the places needed for the 4 screws also in the box. I opted to use the double sided sticky pad, also provided that you simply stick to the back of the doorbell template and then to your door but if you are going to use this method ensure you get the position correct on your first go as sticking it and then decided to place somewhere else will reduce the strength of the sticky pad and this may result in your doorbell falling off and being damaged. There is also a template enclosed in the box that allows for the doorbell to be attached on an angle to the left or right should you need it.The Tapo doorbell comes with Infrared Night Vision which provides black and white images but it can also provide full colour night vision which was one of the reasons why i opted to purchase the TD21 model, most others only provide black and white images at night so make sure you check in the description before you buy if you want colour night vision. Another feature that i looked for was the ability to use an SD card for local recording, this enables you to record all pictures and videos onto a Micro SD card as opposed to Cloud storage as Cloud storage is normally a subscription service. You get a 30 day free trial of its Cloud storage service, following this it's up to you which service you opt for.Overall I'd highly recommend the Tapo TD21 doorbell as it is excellent value for money and comes with many features that you probably didn't think you needed. An excellent 2K picture and a long battery life said to last up to 6 months is standard.

Really solid doorbell camera, great quality camera, works nicely in daytime and nighttime, it has a light built in for low light situations but will not be needed most of the time. Communication features are clear and has built in quick responses which can be set to auto reply, you can also add custom responses. Easy to connect to WiFi and easy to charge. It connects to alexa and the app has a ton of features to use with no subscription, paired it with a 256Gb micro SD card (available separately) and it seamlessly records as needed and will loop over recordings after the SD is full so no need to delete. Recordings can be downloaded easily. Would highly recommend.

Having had both Ring and Halovision doorbell’s I can confidently state that this doorbell is by far streets ahead of these. It maintains a strong WiFi connection, has great battery life and does not require a subscription to record activity or link to your phone. Installation and connection was straightforward and the included chime is effective. Would highly recommend and don’t be put off by the low price compared to the other doorbells I’ve mentioned here. This is an incredible item with a fantastic price point.
