Surprisingly solid in the hand
Glad I picked this up. I was getting tired of bending cheap spoons when scooping ice cream and was looking for a good ice cream scoop. I've tried others in the past that seemed like they were made of plastic and fell apart within a year. This is not that! My first impression right after opening it was how heavy and solid it was. Trust me, this thing isn't going to bend. I don't know exactly what metal it is made of, but it seems to be good quality. It has a brushed finish and is smooth to the touch. The edges are smooth, coming to a slight point in the front which helps it dig into the more "premium" ice creams which are usually more frozen solid. It makes a nice smooth scoop of ice cream and falls of into the cone or bowl without having to fight with it. No need for the release mechanisms like on some ice cream scoops. The rubberized handle is soft and smooth and you can easily keep a good grip on it. As far as cleaning goes, it's very easy. There are no ridges or designs on the handle for stuff to get stuck it, and the spot where the handle meets the scoop part looks to be sealed well to keep water out. I wasn't sure if I should pay $12 for an ice cream scoop, but after using it I am glad I did!

Well-crafted ice cream scoop
This well-crafted ice cream scoop is made from high-quality stainless steel, featuring an ergonomic handle that provides a comfortable grip. Its slightly pinched front and precisely rounded bowl make scooping effortless, even with hard ice cream. Packaged in a nice box, it makes a perfect gift. We plan to hand-wash.

Works great, feels great, looks great
This scoop is easy to grip, and easy to dip with the slightly pointed scoop tip. The heaviness feels good in your hand while scooping. Very sturdy. Easy to rinse off and clean. I've read other reviews that suggest not to put in dishwasher, so I am just going to rinse it off right after using it. The rubber grip seems to adhere tightly to the handle, so I don't see any chance of water getting under the rubber grip. It also comes in a decorative box.

100 % satisfied
I loved this spoon for Ice cream, both for its size and weight. The color of the handle is perfect for making you crave ice cream. Very tempting. And the product quality is excellent.

best ice cream scoop there is
This is the best ice cream scoop I've owned. It's solid so doesn't bend or break. Slides right into the ice cream. I love it. I actually have two so I always have a clean one. I highly recommend it.

Works pretty well!
I love that this can go in the dishwasher. Super heavy duty and well made. Doesn’t scoop as well on super cold ice cream as one I had in the past that couldn’t go in the dishwasher. Just have to let the ice cream sit for a bit before using.

Best ice cream scoop I’ve ever used.
This is a great ice cream scoop. Pointed on the end to dig into frozen ice cream and heavy enough to bear the weight of a 200 pound man leaning on the scoop to get it into the ice cream. Washes in the dish washer without any problems.

Great shape after tons of use
Best scoop we have ever had! We use it weekly, wash it often and it still is in great shape!

Superb - buy it
Bought a few of these now and they are brilliant. If you are sick of trying to scoop very cold ice cream straight from the freezer, this is the tool for you. Superb.

So easy to use
Amazing, solid, so easy to use. I now eat too much icecream because this super easy to use and fill my bowl.

Has virtually no effect on NON soft-scoop straight from the freezer.
I boiled some water and put it in a metal jug, removed the hard NON-soft-scoop ice cream from the freezer. After leaving the scoop in the hot water for 15 seconds it was put to test on the ice cream. It made no more impression on the stuff than if I had used a cold tablespoon. Yes, it went in about a centimetre, then stopped. Even placing a lot of pressure on it did not work. The scoop itself still felt moderately hot ...and in theory it should have worked. Another 2 repeated attempts fared no better. I was drawn to the beaked shape of the scoop, thinking that it would sink down in and give some decent leverage, at least, even though it may not `ball’. But no, not in this case. My favourite shop-bought ice cream remained stubbornly in it’s 1 litre tub. 10 minutes out on the worktop is usually enough to get it to be more malleable...but I didn’t try this scoop again, out of principle, as it had failed it’s NO THAW claim. If things don’t live up to their claims, they go back! Simplez!

Fake Balci scoop!
The product i received is a fake black scoop, not a Balci one: No lable on the handle - poorly fitting rubber grip.

Perfect
Brilliant design, weighted perfectly, good grippy handle. Only had it a short while so can’t comment on durability of coating yet.
