Amazing buy for Mac fans and the best way to avoid Apple Intelligence!
Let me first start out by saying that this is a good desktop. It is outdated, but anything that can run macOS and is new at $340 is truly a miracle these days. I bought this desktop to use as a normal internet browsing/productivity computer to use with a desktop monitor or connected to my TV. The reason I chose this over just another Windows mini PC is because the Mac experience. When using this computer, the OS is snappy, it hasn’t crashed on me once, I haven’t even heard a fan once, the graphics/visuals are very nice, there is TONS of RAM, and the Intel i7, even though it is a little old, is a very reliable and sturdy CPU. Another amazing benefit of this computer is how sturdy the build quality is and how small the actual desktop is. Everything in the description matches the product I got, but the OS was a slightly newer Monterey instead of the Mojave. About the specs: this Mac Mini from late 2018 has an older 8th generation Intel Core i7 which feature 6 all-performance cores and is almost equivalent performance-wise to the latest Intel desktop i3 (except for in single core applications). It also has a massive amount of RAM at 32GB, it isn’t very fast RAM for DDR4 as of 2024, but again it is an older computer. It has a small 128GB of SSD storage which is disappointing to be honest, but you can add more storage to it with a external drive or a dock with a drive slot inside of it (just search on Amazon “Mac Mini Dock” and you’ll see). In terms of ports, it has 4 usb-c ports, 2 usb-a ports, 1 HDMI port, 1 headphone jack, 1 ethernet port, and its standard power port. The WiFi and Bluetooth are older types, but I can use a keyboard from 15 feet away with no problem and the WiFi reception I feel is stronger than my M2 MacBook Air. In summary, if you are looking for a reliable and affordable desktop that has the full Mac experience, and are fine with a little older technology, this desktop is for you. If you don’t care about its small size or the ability to run macOS, just go and make yourself a custom PC and you can get something around the likes of a Ryzen 5600GT for the same price. I am really happy Woot sold this computer at such a great price and I am very satisfied with my purchase. I hope more retailers list more products like this for the people who want good quality PCs on a budget.

Great deal on a Mac Mini!
This is a great value for a this 2018 Mac Mini. I've owned 2012, 2014 2018, and a Mac silicon Mini, a Mac Pro, MacBooks etc. I much prefer the intel Mac's for certain things. One being the sound quality. If you are a music lover, enjoy music and movies, intel seems to be a batter way to go, at least in my experience. It's not necessarily the written spec on the components but the quality of the components and how well the components are optimized to work together. Something Apple seems to do very well. While I was writing this review, I was streaming test videos, 4K@60 fps. After 3 videos it only dropped 6 fps in over 100K fps! Most dropped frames are at the start of a video, (even with high end graphics cards) and not while it's running. Excellent picture quality as well. I am very satisfied with this purchase. To sum it up, as soon as this computer arrived, I unpacked it, set it up and I ordered a second one! This is a very good buy for this little machine, excellent quality and service from the seller. It is as advertised, functions flawlessly.

What apps will you use with it?
Item was fast and worked well. However, one of the main apps I needed to use with it requires an M1 or better chip. This Mac has an Intel chip. For that reason I needed to return it. If it weren’t for that I would have kept it and been perfectly happy with it. Still recommend it though in spite of that. It was me, not it.

You won't be dissapointed
What can I say here? A great product at a great price. New old stock that Apple upgraded to the current IOS. Nothing but good news here.

Great system for developers!
Wow, it really was brand new! As a C++ developer, I spend a lot of time compiling and linking various libraries and applications for macOS; in addition, although I primarily develop on an M4 Mac Studio, I need to make sure my apps will work flawlessly on Intel systems. This system has been great for this purpose and a real performer. I would recommend this system to anyone who develops for macOS, especially for this price!

Great little powerful MacMini.
The MacMini i7 32gig ram is great. I use mine as a local web server, fileserver, Plex server, as will as a cache server for all my Mac's to cache to.

Unable to use Mac OS Mojave with this Mac - Comes with Monterey
Tried 2 used Moc Minis from Amazon Renewed vendors, and had to return them. This new unit works just fine. Mine came with Mac OS Monterey for $289 in April 2025. The price has increased several times since. I wanted to use MacOS Mojave as it still supported HFS volumes, but had to use Catalina to be compatible with the tiny 128GB PCie drive in these units. So if you want to use Mojave, these units are NOT for you.
