These are good shorts. I take a 34" waist and the large fit perfectly, a little loose around legs. If you have large thighs they might be tight. The fabric is thin and might be see through when wet so don't use for swimming. The waist band is sturdy and stays in place without leaving an imprint. It's soft so you hardly know it's there. Very light weight and breathable but seem sturdy. The towel loop blends in to the waist band so well at first I thought it wasn't there. The front pockets are large but the back zippered pocket is too small for me to use even for keys. Jeep has a very large key fob.

I bought these for my 16 year old son who is 5’7, 135 Lbs, they are a little short. Otherwise fit well and he said are comfortable. They are nice and light weight for our Florida summers. He plays basketball, football, and pickleball and they have worked out well.

These are great. Super comfortable, and perfect for the gym, even if you sweat. Easy to wash as well.
