Electrostatic Mat - 8.5 x 12 for Portrait 4

This is literally the coolest thing ever. I hate dealing with sticky mats. I'm using this for cardstock and stickers and love it.

Once we figured out how to use it (minimal to no instructions were included) it was wonderful and made using our silhouette cutting machine much easier. I would recommend looking up a LOT of YouTube videos about how to attach the electrostatic mat, align it and use it before making the same mistakes we did

I highly recommend using this electrostatic mat over the regular sticky mat that comes with the Portrait 4. This is very easy to set up and connect to the machine. And silhouette studio has settings where it will automatically detect the new mat. I can easily cut out stickers now without any issues of my stickers getting damaged from the sticky backed mat or staying stuck or having an residue left on the back of my material. The only thing that is difficult is knowing the exact amount of pressure and force to use to not cut through the protective sheet on the electrostatic mat. You can replace that part however.

A small learning curve and I don't know what I'd do without this. It speeds up project time without having to deal with sticky mats and for the most part holds really well. You do have to make sure the connection between the mat and the machine is stable. Also be careful smoothing the paper on or picking it up. I've given my self s few small electric shocks that are surprising at the very least.

Just got my mat for those that are having issues with it turning off… you want to move the paper roller to the right spot. If the adjustable paper roller on the machine is too far in the center or too far to the edge of the machine it will shut off the mat (i think it is a safety feature) i wish they would have put this in the instructions!!!! I posted a picture for you to see where the roller is on my machine!! Hope this helps!!!

I LOVE the end results this creates -- not having to deal with everything I make being sticky from the mats and unpeeling everything is AWESOME. But the mat keeps turning off mid-use. I have to babysit every cut and turn the power to the mat back on again several times each cut. I am guessing the connector on the Portrait and the Mat aren't making great contact. If I can figure out how to make this stop happening, it's a great product -- if not, I'll be returning it. EDIT: The longer I've used the product, the worse its mmalfunctionshave gotten. I really wish I had returned this when I had the chance, because I hate it. So mad, such a waste of money.

粘着台紙のイライラされてる方はほぼ必須かと思います。(私もそれで買い足しました) やや高額なオプション品ですが絶妙な静電吸着力で満足してます。 なお静電気のバチバチが嫌いな方はゴム手袋でもして触った方が良いと思います。
