ALTRA Escalante 4 Men's Running Shoes, Green

I have very high arches and was experiencing a lot of pain in the soles of my feet, specifically my heels. After much research, I found Altras, and they have been a lifesaver. They are very lightweight, have the perfect height, and a wide toe box. I have been using them for several months, and the soles of my feet no longer hurt. I love them, and I will soon buy another pair.

Best shoe for daily walks, fits well. I wear size UK8 in barefoot shoes but Amazon recommended me UK9 in this shoe which fitted perfectly fine. Very good quality with moderate cushioning needed for daily city walks.

Excellent trainers. Bit expensive but its a fit extremely scarce to find.

Not exactly what I ordered, I was expecting it to match the picture colour but they arrived totally white. Given that they came from Europe I kept them. Comfortable for gym and road only time will tell how they last.

The shoe's lightweight design adds to its versatility. Durability: After several weeks of use, the Escalante 4 has shown minimal signs of wear. The outsole provides adequate grip, and the overall construction feels sturdy. However, I did find that the tongue isn't gusseted, which occasionally causes it to shift during movement. Overall Thoughts: The Altra Women's Escalante 4 Sneaker combines comfort, performance, and style. While it may not be ideal for extremely hot conditions due to its ventilation, it excels in everyday wear and light athletic activities. These shoes are both comfortable and light, making them ideal for running. I ordered a size 7, and it fits perfectly. I appreciate the wider toe box compared to other brands. Overall, the quality is excellent.

I ordered size 6 and it’s perfect. The back is quite low than usual and felt narrow so took me a while to get used to the fit especially around the back and the shape (visual) and now I love it after I found the right type of socks to wear with it. It’s very lightweight and so comfortable to wear all day. Plenty of room to wiggle my toes and doesn’t cause pressure or pain on my base of the big toe joint after hours of wearing this. No redness at all. I have a developing bony bump from wearing narrow shoes and I want to stop it progressing to a severe bunion and looking for shoes that I can wear comfortably. I would love to see how the other style feels as well. I am looking for trainers to wear not only for exercise but also for day to day use.

Such a gorgeous pair of shoes, and I so wish they'd fit my feet! I have another pair of Altra's (lone peak 9+) which are also the 'original' foot shape in the same size, and presumed the fit would be similar, but it's not. The Escalante's are narrower overall including the toe box, which is much shallower.

Absolutely fantastic shoes. I did a 14km yesterday and they are amazing. This are my first Altra I felt in love with them.

bien confortable, apres un temps d'adaptation. Attention uniquement pour sol sec: sont glissantes sur sol mouillé.

Ottime scarpe, a me piacciono molto e ormai da tempo uso solo scarpe con drop 0 (e barefoot) e la mia schiena è più rilassata anche dopo tante ore in piedi e di camminata. Le trovo belle anche esteticamente nonostante la punta molto larga (che però per me è un pregio, anche se esteticamente inusuale).
