This works just fine for me and is pretty cheap now I can stop asking other people for their CaC readers now.

Sucks
It’s sucks. Don’t buy it. After like 2 years, I have to try and wiggle my card around for it to work. But now it just doesn’t work.

This product is a little misleading it does not have the Wi-Fi connection or the proximity connection. But just as a CAC reader it works great.

ONLY Works With Supplied Cord
I thought I got a defective one, but the replacement was identical. I could not get it to even power on with any other USB C or USB A cord, and I tried 2 different computers and several different ports. The supplied cord is USB C (to the device) and USB A (to the PC). It's nice and compact, but compatibility is terrible.
