Review: The next 'Milk and Honey' - This collection of poems is a remarkable hidden gem that should be read by every girl in her teens or twenties, and everyone else who wishes to revisit his or her adolescence. It catalogues a girl's shift in growing up and learning about herself, her world, and her relationships. Digestible, beautiful, and addictive, each poem touches the heart and taps at the brain. It covers time and space as the speaker moves from childhood to adulthood, and from Virginia to Delaware, to New York City and Philadelphia to Los Angeles, and back again. The poems cover the details of life, from washing feet and moving, to buying flowers and first kisses, to God, mental illness, and love. They are mostly free verse and range in tone and length, reflecting the bounce between ordinary days when we feel nothing and days when we feel everything. The speaker of Kuhn's poetry is honest, raw, and reflective. Comparable to Rupi Kaur's 'Milk and Honey,' these poems capture what it means to value our whole selves as we learn to navigate the world. Review: great read - i love this book so much itโs so worth a buy

Love love love
Madisen Kuhn is an amazing poet and I have felt so seen and understood in all her work. Eighteen years will always be my favourite collection, but anything of hers is a true masterpiece.
