Works perfectly with the Switch 2. Fast, with no signal degradation, which is exactly what you want where large amounts of data have to travel very fast between a modern console and your TV. Also, Nintendo uses proprietary technology in their consoles. When you add cables like these into the chain of data, the Nintendo Switch 2 dock essentially gives the cable a ‘handshake’ before allowing it to transmit data - which is why you can’t just use any USB-C cable. Cable Matters is the gold standard for pro-grade cables without a ludicrous price tag. It has become one of my go-to-brands and you can actually trust their specs. The cable is stiff, and that’s also by design. It’s what you’re looking for with a cable like this. More and thicker copper wiring and heavy duty shielding to not cause interference with your WiFi and Bluetooth. If you have to go with a longer cable, I wouldn’t go past 3ft tops for the Switch 2 as an extension cable from the dock to the console. Mine work just fine. Using display glasses to the phone. It can be a tad sensitive to jiggles but nothing out of the ordinary.

I purchased this cable for use in my car. I have a USB port on the back of the center counsel that I wanted to use in the front seat. This cable was what the doctor ordered. It is the perfect length and can be hid between the seat and center counsel.

I bought this USB4 extension cable because modern technology has reached the point where devices are powerful enough to drive 8K displays, transfer data at ridiculous speeds, and charge laptops... but apparently still can't be located 50 centimetres closer to where I need them. This cable fixed that. The build quality feels excellent, the connectors fit securely, and best of all, everything worked exactly as expected. No mysterious disconnects. No random compatibility issues. No spending an evening wondering which component in the chain is lying to me. The true reversible design is a particular highlight. USB-C was supposed to end the era of plugging cables in upside down. Somehow I still manage to fail on the first attempt occasionally, but at least now I can't blame the cable. I use it for connecting various devices where the original cable is just slightly too short. Not dramatically short. Not hilariously short. Just short enough to cause constant annoyance. This extension solved that problem without introducing three new ones. My favourite part is that it completely disappears into the setup. That's the highest compliment I can give a cable.
