How do i return item and get a refund?

Contact the seller first and then Amazon if you are having problems with it. You should be able to do that from where you view your order.

How do you chose among the 6 tones? the instructions do not address this. And there appear only 3: vibrate, alarm, and vibrate + alarm.

The 6 tones will go off if you have it on A (alarm) or VA (vibrate and alarm). Each time the alarm is activated a different tone will sound.

We have tried the alarm for two weeks and still wetting the bed even with the alarm ringing. Is this part of the process?

This happened to me too but I realized that it was because the sensor was not placed right. I had mine placed so that as soon as there's any wetness, it goes off. I have a boy so it's very tricky. Hang in there, it gets better 🙂🙂

THe clip has been coming off my child's underwear, anyway to tighten it?

The clip should not be coming off. I suggest you return the device as soon as possible. But first ensure that child is not pulling clip off and also that you have clipped it properly.
