The steel quality was better than I expected, and the installation was straightforward. It took about 30 minutes from unboxing to complete install. Everything fit well, and it feels like a solid upgrade for the money. One install tip: remove the propane tank and set the griddle carefully on its side as you install each side of the lid. When you remove the current frame bolts, the metal can wander a bit, and having the griddle on its side made it much easier to line everything back up and reinstall the screws. They also seem to have fixed the issue of the lid slamming down that others mentioned in their reviews by adding a small spring bolt. We will see how well that holds up over time with heat and grease, but it is a nice improvement. The temperature gauge on top is also a nice touch. Overall, this is a great accessory and something Blackstone probably should have included with the griddle in the first place.

IT FITS my 36” Blackstone from Walmart. Model 2177. I looked through a lot of reviews to see which ones would work with this particular model. A lot of the information was limited. So I wanted to make sure to let everyone know that this cover does work. It makes a great backsplash if you have it up against a wall or on a deck. It stays open with a small retractable pin on the side. I have never put much stock into mounted grill thermometers and this one will be no exception! I doubt that it is accurate or durable, but I haven’t needed to look at it yet. The price is close to being expensive, but it is well worth it. Installation was easy, one person can do it in 20 mins. The brackets are heavy weight and do work with side mounted shelves. When I bought my Blackstone, I was shocked that the lid was not hinged and attached to the frame. It seemed cheap and something that they should consider changing. For their cost to include it, a hinged cover would add so much value. Without it, I was annoyed and felt like I would explore alternative brands if I would have noticed that before I bought it. The lift-off cover that came with it is supposed to HANG off the back where it needlessly takes up space, requires you to lean over the grill to hang it, and can cause you to accidentally knocking the grease trap off the back. All in all, this is a perfect cover for the Blackstone and the FIRST upgrade I’d recommend.

Easy set up. The lid fit almost the whole griddle but the front edge was exposed. Good for keeping dust and debris of the cooking surface. If you store your griddle outside I would suggest a additional cover to keep the rain from leaching into the exposed griddle edge. Thus only 4 out of five stars.

Based on others reviews this lid fit perfectly on my Tractor supply 36 omnivore and is very sturdy and well built - please note that in the reviews for this there are mixed reviews and showing lids with a locking pins to keep the lid open - this lid does not come with locking pins . Good price for almost the same construction as the Blackstone lid but the price point between the same griddle with and without the hood was about 200 so I saved 100 bucks and gained a thermometer . Finish is close but not perfect with the Blackstone . Overall I’m very happy with the lid and its sturdiness and reinforcement in the top of the lid . I would recommend for sure - only negative is no locking pin

Fantastic Lid For the Blackstone. Really Easy to install. I appreciate the latch lock. It can get a little windy where I’m at and this keeps the lid up and also blocks the wind as well.
