Low-cost ESP32 with good WiFi
I got these boards to replace a frustrating (slightly cheaper) alternative to these boards I made the mistake of purchasing a few years ago for a DIY smart home project, and where those boards consistently had -80dBm signal strength in both locations I had them installed, these boards maintain -60dBm to -65dBm for the identical places they are in. So far, I've had no issues getting them to connect and maintain responsiveness. I did have a small issue with flashing them, I was unable to flash them with a USB-C to C cable and had to use a USB-A to C cable instead, but it's possible that's the fault of macOS or my environment so I won't dock the board for it. Overall these worked perfectly so far as a drop-in replacement in my environment, and I'm very happy with them.

Great ESP32 Module - very happy
First, the packaging was very nice. Well protected in a nice plastic case. Nice touch. Plugged it in and ESP-HOME instantly found it and programmed it without any issues. No boot issues or button presses needed. Claude made a very complicated custom yaml in about 5 seconds. Installed the yaml over the air without issue. Didn't come with a pinout, but text next to the pins is so clear I didn't need one. The new sketch runs perfectly, no issues. I'm very happy with it. btw - usb-c is a very welcome change.

They donโt fit on a breadboard, I didnโt ding them a star cause I like the size but just be aware
Cheap and work as intended. These are my go-to for basic ESP32 boards. Same price as the nanos which only have 4 GPIOโs broke out.

Nice. Works great!
Good little boards. Easy to program. Will buy again.

I'm happy with them.
These work just as they should, I have managed to replace Pi Zero and Pi Pico boards with them. They seems to be very well made.

These things are fun!
These are amazing little boards. I made a scrolling sign that I could add or remove messages on my phone. Also made a clock that showed the weather and news headlines. Can't beat the price. If you have played with these boards get a few and have fun.

A few quirks, but overall very good
It took a little bit get get started with this dev board, but I am mostly very pleased with it. I am using it as a replacement for an Arduino Nano ESP32. I do not know how it stands up to other ESP32 boards. Size: Comparatively, it is physically larger. It may not fit into the project I was hoping it would, but that's on me. The real issue with the size is that it does not fit on a standard solderless breadboard. It is too wide, and you can only use one column of pins on only one side. It is possible to remove the power rail from the edge of one breadboard and join two of them together for a bit more space, but that feels like a hack fix. Usability: I initially had trouble getting Arduino IDE to recognize my board. I could see my PC (Windows 10) was working on installing something the first time I plugged it in and got confirmation afterwards that the device was ready to use, but it still was not connecting in Arduino IDE. The fix was to install a CP210x driver, which instantly solved the problem. Compatibility: As stated, it works fine in Arduino IDE. You just need to download the esp32 board manager from espressif. I am using the ESP32-WROOM-DA Module board (I hope it is the right board, but it *does* work). Once I got it running, it was as easy as reassigning the pins to match the new board's output. It runs the code perfectly. I may even slightly increase the maximum speed of my LED matrix animations, but I'm not totally sure on that. Value: You get three boards for less than the cost of a single Arduino Nano ESP32. As far as I can tell, they are more or less equivalent in functionality and specs, making this set of three boards a great deal. Overall I like it quite a bit. I wish it were made more clear that this was specifically an ESP32 WROOM 32 board, meaning it has two cores, as opposed to a standard single core ESP32 board. Ultimately, it does not seem to make a difference in my use cases, and may possibly even be better. Both run at the same 240 MHz. The box it came in even says "ESP-WROOM-32" where the product image says "ESP-32", so I initially thought I got the wrong item. That, and the issues with the breadboard are why I give it 4 instead of 5 stars. Still, I am very much enjoying them so far and will purchasing more of these as needed.

You have to move the current. In my case I had to connect 3v3 to first avaliable full row and so on.
I really like how easy the are to program and that they can communicate with each other with no internet access. Paired with my 26 tops accelerator it does whatever I need plus. One thing I've noticed is these are a lot bigger compared to my elegoo nanos or raspberry pi picos. These boys are chunky! They take up all but one slot on my breadboard so I had to re route connections to be able to add multiple sensors.

ELEGOO ESP32 boards is a handy starter bundle for home projects and tinkering.
Overall, this 3-pack of ELEGOO ESP32 boards is a handy starter bundle for home projects and tinkering. Each board has USB-C, built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and works with Arduino IDE or ESPHome without much fuss, so you can get a sensor online in a lunch break. In day-to-day use it suits common Aussie setups: turning an old fan into a smart switch, running a Bluetooth proxy for Home Assistant, or logging temps in a rental flat without drilling holes. The dual-core chip feels snappy, and having three boards means you can prototype on one, deploy one near the router, and keep a spare for the next weekend job. Trade-offs: the pin labels are small, so a quick reference printout helps, and you may need the CP2102 driver on Windows before flashing. The USB-C cable in the drawer may not always be data-capable, which can trip people up. If you want a simple, good-value set of ESP32s for learning and light automation, this bundle makes sense.

Good price, good quality, will buy again!
Arrived well secured and protected from damage. Items as advertised, 3 x ESP32 boards with header pins attached, all supporting USB-C. Initial testing shows they are operating as expected when loaded with firmware via Ardunio IDE. Good price, good quality, will buy again!
