Washing Machine Cleaner, Pine Scent, 250ml, Antibacterial, Removes Bacteria, Bad Odours, Limescale and Hidden Dirt, Lasting Freshness, Kills 99.9 Percent of Bacteria

Having previously taken advice from a ‘professional’ and buying the sachets that ‘hoover’ recommend, that they’re so good but can’t be bought in shops, I thought I had the best out there and that my machine was just prone to scummy mouldy build up. WRONG..... admittedly I ummed and arrred about purchasing something that could easily be bought in shops and make all these claims, just how was this little bottle of dettol going to be better than something I’d had recommended by a ‘professional’ and that I’d had to hunt for as only professionals know of it. So I took the plunge, let’s face it, it’s not much to spend if it didn’t work. I ordered a bottle. Oh, how wrong I was. This little bottle of dynamite is FANTASTIC!!! I washed out the drawer and the internal casing with a brush & mould spray, then for good measure, wiped all areas with a little of the dettol liq, I then gave the door seal a good de-moulding, as this is the part that is worst hit in my machine, oh, the scummy build up is awful here😱. After which I set the machine to 60C and sat back. When finished, there was a pleasant, but not ‘in yer face’ fresh smell, now to check the drawer..... nothing, not a speck of mould left. Now for the door seal, so armed with a sheet of ‘plenty’, as ‘juan sheet is plenty’, as it doesn’t fall apart, I went round the seal. Now, seriously, I was astonished. Not a trace of black, no scum, literally nothing came off. I even gave it a second go round in case I’d been too light with my wipe round. Genuinely there was nothing left to discolour the kitchen roll. The only mark I have is a few spots of ground in black at the base of the seal which won’t come off even with the hardest of scrubbing. My machine is 6 years old & been using these sachets since new, I thought I had the best out there so fought on a monthly basis to keep the black stuff at bay. For info: since using the dettol liquid a while ago, I also took the plunge and bought some of the dettol laundry cleanser, more & more of my washing is at 30C, which is no temperature to properly clean sweaty and soiled clothes, and this too seems to be helping to keep the machine clean and smelling fresh. With regular use, even the ground in black spots on the door seal seem to be getting smaller. So in essence, what I thought was going to be a waste of money and just another product punching above its weight, is totally worth every penny and I sure won’t be returning to the ‘hard to purchase, professional’ sachets ever again. Which reminds me, it’s time to purchase another bottle!!

You know, I’ve tried various of the ‘big brand’ washing machine cleaners over the years but they’ve all failed miserably when it comes to eradicating the odours that emanate from our washing machine, they work great for a couple of weeks, then that musty pong comes back - drawing negative remarks from anyone who ventures into our utility area. Anyway, after much research, I came to the conclusion that there were two viable, effective options left; make up a DIY solution or purchase this ‘Dettol 5 in 1’ - I took the lazy route and went for the Dettol. This product is easy to use, simply dilute one tablespoon of the liquid in 200ml of water and use a sponge to apply to the detergent drawer, glass door and rubber seal. Pour the rest of the bottle contents into the detergent drawer, set the cycle temperature to 60c (without any clothes) and let the machine run its course. It’s been a month since we used that first bottle and I have to say that this product has worked a treat! After buying the initial one bottle on a suck it and see whim, I have now purchased the more economical three-pack (though it is possible to save even more by buying a 4-pack or subscribing). Highly recommended.

My washing machine was smelling off and clothes not coming out fresh. Using this was easy, you run an empty cycle with it in the detergent drawer. The machine was definitely left feeling fresher and cleaner. It wasn’t as effective at cleaning the rubber seals with a sponge as directed on the bottle. It is also quite expensive as you only get one ‘dose’ in the bottle.

I had been looking for something as my washing machine used to STINK and I couldn’t fix it, no matter what. Brought these and it’s amazing, you have to put it on a long cycle, mine is 2h25 mins. But now it doesn’t smell everything I put my washing on. I think you’re supposed to use every two months, I’ve used over that when I started to notice the smell again and it’s great. Really works and would recommend

I noticed my washing machine was smelling a bit. I emptied this into the drum and put it on a hot wash. The machine now smells lovely and looks visibly shiny and cleaner inside. Will use it again

For some time now my washing machine has smelt mouldy. I've been cleaning the rubber seal with some success but the smell I realised comes from deep within the machine. I bought other washing machine cleaning tablets that are highly rated on amazon and they made no difference. However I used the Dettol cleaner today and am surprised at the results. The machine smells clean at last. It is expensive - Rs 500 for 250 ml one-time use, but it is effective.

So far I like get goods online getting nice and good things but till this deliveries I don't get the exact product patch if it is verified product!

I ordered 4 but a little liquid leaked from one of them.
