Are the plates ridged or completely flat? I'm looking for completely flat as have one which produces ridges\lines in the bread which I don't want

The plates are completely flat and smooth and have a superb non stick coating so any fillings can be easily wiped clean.

does it make like toastie sandwiches too like cheese & ham..hot sandwiches that come out looking like 2 triangle pieces..

It makes cheese and ham toasted sandwiches, I also cook my bacon on the press then wipe it clean, put the bacon on the sandwich and put back on the press to toast, you are able to make any toasted sanwich you want but DON'T butter the press, make sandwich as normal then place on press to toast, it doesn't cut into triangle pieces you just the sandwich after it's toasted. You can put any ingredrients you like on the sandwich, the thicker the bread the better because it does do exaxtly as it says and presses the sandwich down - wouldn't be without this item use it every day

I cook burgers on it without any problems, takes less than 5 minutes

Why can't people actually read the question as it's not the box size that's wanted. I understand the product is about H94 x W235 x D276 mm
