Simple and Unique
I think EverlyWell has a unique business opportunity. They have come into a space that traditionally has a very high cost for customers. Their process and kit is very simple to use and cost effective. I ordered the kit on Amazon and it reached my house in two days. Luckily i read the instructions about not eating anything for 8 hours before using the kit. The process to extract blood is pretty easy and the prepaid shipping package was also convenient. I received my results on their website 5 days after the lab received my kit. Overall a great experience. To better the product, here are some things that EverlyWell can do: 1. For any kit that has some dietary restrictions (like not eating for 8 hours), should have instructions in bold right as you open the kit. 2. The time it takes for the laboratory to process the sample should be reduced. 3. The shipping time is also quite a lot. Work with USPS to see if they can do expedited shipping for such products.

Take charge of your health!
Earlier this year, I switched to a plant-based diet and wanted to monitor my cholesterol and hCRP markers as time passes. I have taken 2 of these so far and have been satisfied with the information I receive. My doctor wouldnโt run the hCRP so it was worth it to have that info as well as the A1C (borderline prediabetic). My husband (a diabetic) took one test and then had his cholesterol and A1C taken the following week by his doctor and the numbers were extremely close, so I feel confident in the numbers. The test itself requires several large blood drops to fill the card. It took a little bit to figure out how to package it properly to send back. Put the card in biohazard envelope. Place in box, slide cover back over box and place in mailing envelope. This particular test helps me take charge of my health and itโs worth the investment to know what my markers are.

Quick shipment and accurate results
I enjoy taking an active part in my health and these tests help me to work on myself if my results are out of range. I wish I could buy one and get one free!

Sampling issues
Not sure about the accuracy of the test since this is the third kit I've sent in. Every time, I receive a message that there isn't enough blood. I uploaded a photo of my last test kit to their customer service and rec'd the following message: "I am so sorry your kit was unable to be processed by our partner lab. After reviewing your photo, I see that the clear serum on the right side of your sample did not spread far enough for the lab to process the sample. The clear serum must be free of blood and reach to the middle of the right side of the sample card for the lab to be able to process the sample. " Nowhere in their directions is this mentioned. I dropped 10 drops of blood into the well and it never moved to the right. Just spilled out of the well. If there are issues with sampling from some people and not others, then this is not a good option. Better to just have a certified lab draw blood. And, EverlyWell was willing to give me a refund. But, I bought it from Amazon and they won't issue a refund. Update: Amazon issued a refund after all. I still think there's something wrong with these kits.

easy to keep tabs on heart health
being the retired RN and skeptic, I took this test then also had my doctor's lab test me for the same thing. tests are very accurate. finally a test is available that's much more convenient, timely and cheaper than going through the doctor's office. thanks Everlywell!

A blood drawing nightmare
This likely depends on the user. For me, drawing blood didn't work: I followed the instructions to the letter, they mention "big drops of blood falling" onto the test card. I used both lancets and merely got 1 small drop each time and and it didn't fall. Updates (over the followig month): Everlywell sent me a replacement kit. I drank a quart of water, went for a good walk, warmed my hands and fingers, struggled but managed to collect enough blood. I had to cheat though as the blood 'drops' would not free-fall on the card - I had to make contact with it. Verdict 2 weeks later: sample rejected by QA. Everywell sent me a 3rd kit. Same preparation, I was more careful, pricked several fingers, yet again: sample rejected again by QA - "the blood didn't not separate from serum". They offered to send me yet another kit. But, I've pricked my fingers so many times that I've decided to just give up: this purchase turned into a 100$ write-off. Lesson learnt. For about the same price, a lot less complexity, pain and time, I will get a regular blood draw - that I expect to be much more accurate and predictable.

Not what it use to be!
I have used Everlywell for years. Two years ago there were 8 Markers for the heart health test. Not the description states 6 but result were only 5 markers. There are other tests on the market that I have used and will not be using Everlywell anymore. The cost vs the number of marker tests is not worth it anymore with this company.
