What a great invention. I used to do tree work for part-time work and I had about 8 different sized chainsaws. I sharpened my own chains just using a single file with a small guide. I'm down to two saws (Stihl battery electric - love them!), and with these new guides with built in files, with a few swipes I sharpen the teeth and lower the depth exactly right. There is nothing worse that fighting with a dull chain or having to take a chain to someone else to be sharpened at some expense and taking more life off the chain than necessary. Just one or two passes with this sharpener is all that is needed to be back in perfect condition for the next time.

This line of Stihl chainsaw files are the best sharpening method I've used. Much better than motorized sharpeners and standalone files. It takes a bit of practice to get the method down, but once familiar with it, sharpening a chain goes really fast and each cutting tooth ends up razor sharp. In addition to sharpening the cutting teeth, there's a file that shaves down the chain's depth gauges at the same time. Every chain size requires a separate sharpener equipped with files of the right size, so I have 3 of these devices.

Extremely easy to use and a great way to save money on buying chains or paying for sharpening. Make sure the file size matches the chain. Great product..!

Works great! Sharpens well, does the rake too. Very handy and useful out in the field and quick. Just make sure you load the correct diameter files for the chain and, follow the directions. All that said I still think it costs to much for what it is.

Works great on my EGO pole saw chain. Love being able to quickly sharpen the chain.

Really easy to use - I will say that I watched youtube video - easier to see it in action vs just using the written instructions. Worked great!

I have been using 3/8 and 5/32 Stihl chainsaw chains sharpeners for years, now with the new electric chainsaws and pole pruners with the 1/4 chain this is making then cost effective and 100% sharp for every pruning application. Wonderful tool that sharpens the cutting tooth and depth guage at the same time. Thoroughly recommended.
