Do you apply this oil directly to the blade or can it be added to the water reservoir?

I added about a tablespoon of the cutting oil to about a quart of water in my grinding wheel tray. It was sufficient enough to lube the polishing processes but was a noticeable difference than the water based cutting fluids. This oil in larger stone cutting saws would be okay and some of the saws take quite a bit of oil, however soy oil (from natural food or oriental grocery stores) in my small rock saws is a cheaper alternative but this oil is OK too!. I prefer the water based cutting solutions for grinding and polishing...and in my smaller rock saws.... The only reason, besides trying something new, that I purchased the the cutting oil is that (thanks to the CCP un-leasing this virus), I was unable to find the water based fluids when I needed it.

Seemed to help

I use plain water mostly due to softer materials. Since I cut jade every so often I bought the lube. It seems to help the trim saw (6”), and I got through the material easier than expected. I added a random squirt or two without any consideration to ratios. It will likely perform even better if used at 100% volume. My single experience with this product to date
