FURMAN AC-210 A E 10A COMPACT POWER CONDITIONER WITH AUTO-RESETTING VOLTAGE PROTECTION

I have been listing to a lot of music since past 10 years now, as i upgraded i was always thinking of ways to improve the sound quality. Power supply to your equipment was always a last priority. Lately i was reading a lot about this and did not find anything accurate and withing budget. I used UPS, Isolation transformer and even a 3KV stabilizer but nothing made the improvement the sound turned muddy or something was missing. Direct from mains was better. Then i read about power conditioners. I saw a few cheap once but did not find any review or spec details. Then i ended up with Furman AC-210AE. I got one and tested on my Stereo setup. Well i was amazed. Stereo separation and clarity at high volume was very noticeable. The sound staging was really impressive. Like my CD's (yes i am still using Audio CD's) all came to life. I think if you are willing to spend on High End audio then you have to plan for a power conditioner also. Go for a good one else dont use any you will simply spoil the output sound. Some points to note 1. Most of the once you see online is for 120V US do not buy them. 2. The power connectors in this are all IEC C13 male and female type so you need to plan accordingly you need to get the correct type of cables. 3. This unit has both the filter and also voltage protection from surge, also its a non sacrificial type so it does not blow up. Just reset. 4. Little costly looks small but well built and simple to use has only 2 outlets though. But note total power handling is 10Amp so its good for a lot. Also dont add a power strip or spike busted to increase the power outlets. Then you will defeat the purpose. I got 2 of them now one for my HT and one for my Stereo my setup pic is added. I love this now. Works like told and sound is amazing. I will update as days goes by......Hope this helps others who are looking for some power protection and filters....

What a wonderful power conditioner which improved the line power feeding to my emotiva mono blocks which are 400W-4ohms connected to LS50, the result is immediate difference in detail, power handling, range extension, out of distortion my God list goes on by just adding this small budget friendly item. Go for it if you really need clean power and protection. If you have high end high gear then definetely you will hear difference in audio detail. For video I haven’t checked, I will order one more and connect to AVR or my LG OLED tv and check later. But as of now it’s high recommended. Thanks much Furman. Bei jeder Art Hifi-Zubehör scheint es ja nur zwei Typen zu geben: Die Fanatiker, denen kein Preis zu hoch ist für vermeintlich tolle Verbesserungen (wie "mies" sind deren schweineteuren Anlagen eigentlich im "Ur"zustand?) und die "Physiker", für die nicht sein darf, was theoretisch nicht sein (=nicht erklärt werden) kann. Mir ist das alles egal - ich möchte möglichst guten Sound für möglichst wenig Geld (mein LS-Kabeltip z.B.: erstmal ein ganz normales, aber fettes (= min 4mm) Kupferkabel aus dem Elektronikmarkt probieren, zumindest an meiner Anlage (digital Anthem und Arcam) besser als das alte aus der gehobenen Mittelklasse...). Um die Stromversorgung habe ich mich eigentlich nur gekümmert, weil ich mit einem Receiver mit unserer Uralt-Elektrik schwere Probleme hatte, an meinem robusten Anthem also eher eine Vorsichtsmaßnahme... Nun gibt es da ja die "herrlichsten" Dinge bis in den 5-stelligen Bereich,die preisgünstige gefilterte Brennenstuhlleiste brachte nicht viel - was tun? Auf Furman kam ich durch Zufall, ist ja eigentlich im PA-Bereich zuhause, wo sie eine echte Macht sind, was schon mal für Professionalität und gegen Voodoo spricht und verglichen mit dem Rest ist der Preis für diese Lösung mit 199 € fast schon lächerlich (und ja - das Teil ist für den Hifiisten tatsächlich günstiger als für den PA-Bereich!). Also zwei Stück besorgt, an denen einen von den jeweils zwei (Kaltgeräte!)-Anschlüssen Receiver bzw. BDP angeschlossen, jeweils 'ne ordentliche Steckerleiste für den Rest und los... Und erstmal eher Enttäuschung: Was Dinge wie das Knacksen beim Einschalten anderer Geräte angeht, nur wenig Fortschritt und der Sound? Weitgehend wie vorher. Angeblich muss man ja selbst so ein Ding "einspielen".... Okay, warum nicht? So habe ich den Teilen halt eine Woche Zeit gegeben, war aber eigentlich entschlossen, sie nicht zu behalten. Ja, aber dann nach zwei, drei Tagen sitz ich da auf dem Sofa, lese und hör der Musik eigentlich nur mit einem halben Ohr zu, aber halt, wow, da spielt der Knopfler aber mal wieder schön Gitarre... Und ich höre wirklich hin, schmeiße eine Scheibe nach der anderen rein und lasse auch mal Vinyl erklingen - wunderbar!!! Natürlich nicht die 30% Verbesserung, die der Fanatiker der Stromversorgung zuschreibt, sondern einfach in jeder Hinsicht ein Fitzelchen besser, ruhiger, sauberer, wie auch immer. Sagen wir die Prise Zucker, die das Essen abrundet, die ein bis drei Prozent, die den Unterschied zwischen einem zufriedenen Schmunzeln und einem breiten Grinsen ausmachen. Fazit: Preis-Leistung erstklassig !!!!! Wer eine gute Anlage hat, sollte ihr das gönnen, ehe er mit LS-Kabeln für mehrere hundert € den Meter experimentiert....

Il mio studio è già tutto sotto altri 2 condizionatori e non ho particolari problemi di disturbi indesiderati. Ho acquistato questo prodotto per separare l'alimentazione delle mie casse monitor e poterle di conseguenza accendere indipendentemente da tutto il resto, da sole, per ascoltare musica senza accendere anche synth, schede audio/midi e controllers. Fa il suo dovere ed il mio impianto continua ad essere "silenzioso". Non so valutare la funzione di protezione perchè fin'ora non ne ho avuto bisogno (e spero di non doverne mai aver bisogno). Prodotto solido, è presente il cavo di alimentazione shuko che va alla presa a muro di lunghezza superiore alla media, è presente anche il kit per montarlo dietro a monitor Vesa o su altre superfici, ma personalmente non l'ho usato. Il tasto di accensione è facilmente raggiungibile ed azionabile anche se lo montate con le prese (ed il tasto) sul retro. La compattezza è il suo punto forte. Mi piace!
