I used this on the headlights of Ford Ecosport 2017(old) version whose headlights were beginning to show signs of oxidation. I was greatly surprised by how effective it was. New headlights would've cost me around 13k Rupees. This costs only around 0.6k Rupees, so, it's a real steal.

Hand Buffed with Walpole rubbing compound। Applied the headlamp restorer one head lamp at a time. Hand Buffed it with cotton cloth. Hand Buffed it with 800 gsm microfiber cloth. Applied layer of general polish and hand buffed it. Headlight restoration complete. Made in USA

My car headlights had issues with clear coat since long. Tiny pieces of clear coat used to peel and get caught into MF clothes while cleaning the car. It became too annoying lately so I went ahead and fixed it. Its been few months now and today I had time to post the work details and results. Formula 1 Headlight restorer alone doesn't help, atleast in my case so I have used the following items also to get the job done: Formula 1 Headlight Restorer, Polishing Foam Pad + Backing Plate, Drilling Machine, Sandpapers of different grit (1200, 2000, 2500) and Strong Shampoo. Kindly note that this will not work on headlights that are faded or hazed inside. Also not on glass lenses. So please make sure of it before doing this DIY. Here are steps: 1. Wash the headlights with shampoo and mask the surround area with masking tape. You can also remove the headlights if possible, so you can work on it easily. 2. For faded headlights, use headlight restorer on the polishing foam pad (5" or smaller) fitted to drill or a rotary polisher or DA polisher. Gently polish the headlight and take a break every few mins to prevent heat. Wipe using dry microfiber cloth and check the progress. 3. Incase the headlights are badly faded, you have to first wet stand using 2500 grit and then continue with headlight restorer as mentioned above. 4. Incase the clear coat is peeling from the headlights (Like mine), you'll need to go little more aggressive. Wet sand using 1200 grit, then 2000 and finally 2500. Once all the clearcoat is removed, polish the headlights using headlight restorer as mentioned above. WARNING: USE SHAMPOO MIXED WITH WATER FOR WET SANDING. DO NOT USE PLAIN WATER AS IT WILL CAUSE DEEP SCRATCHES. 5. Atlast when the headlights look crystal clear, you'll need to protect them from fading again. There are different ways to protect the glass. You can use wax, sealant or dashboard protectant/dresser but these will not last long so you have to apply them regularly without fail. Another way is to spray clear coat but it aren't gonna be easy task and there is a chance of peeling again in future. Meanwhile, I have come across Rust-Oleum Headlight Restoration Kit which includes headlight polishing pad, clear coat wipe and etc. This one is better for those who don't have polishing pads or polishing machine. However, keep sand papers handy especially for clear coat peeling headlights because this kit alone may not help in some cases. Formula 1 Headlight Restorer is a good product for faded headlights and works efficiently with polishing machine but when done by hand, it takes lot of elbow grease. The product says that it contains sealant but I doubt its durability. Finally here are results of my headlights restoration work.

The product just received and immediately I applied the same to verify the claims made in respect of it. I must say that it does justice to the claim made in favor it. The result after first application is very good. But sad part is that the cap was not secured properly. Some of the liquid oozed out during transit. Packing should have been properly done. Exactly on the "Directions for use" section of the product description, a small sticker was stuck. Could not read it but applied on the head light with ordinary prudence. The seller may send the directions for use to me through the Amazon portal. The overall performance of the product is very satisfactory and worth buying for restoring headlight getting little old.

If this is used on the headlight this don't work actually i have bought to clean my headlight glass , the colour of the headlight become yellow which i have face the problem in the night So i have used this product to clean but it don't work

I've been looking for a headlight cleaner that I do not have to tape off, sand, sand, sand and buff. I took a chance on this one.. My 2010 Infiniti EX35's headlights were bad.. I mean bad.. Yellow and bad.. Easy to use! Buffed on as directed, wiped off and buffed as directed. Appearance is like freaking NEW! This product is effective! With this particular product you do not get a UV clear coat sealant. Which is the key to longevity. I bought another spray on product to compare and used the sealant out of that product. Seal it or lose it quickly! I showed a friend.. he went out and bought this for his older Porsche Boxster right away.. success there as well! Good price, on time delivery, I recommend, and would buy again.

I used this headlight restorer and sealant on two cars a few months ago, and the results were impressive! The process was straightforward, and it quickly removed the cloudy, yellow haze from the headlights, making them look almost brand new. The included sealant seems to be holding up well so far, as the headlights are still clear after a few months of exposure to weather and sunlight. My only critique is that the kit could include more sealant—it felt like there was just enough for two cars, and a little extra would have been nice for touch-ups. Overall, though, it’s a great product that works as advertised, and I’d definitely recommend it for restoring older headlights.

Bearing in mind my dear old BMW is over 20 years old, this worked great ! No major process,done in 10 minutes. My headlights came up lovely…..enough to pass mot,but not like new. I’d never cleaned them like this before,so they were pretty bad to start with. The bottle will last a very long time,so I’ll start doing it regularly now.
