Great tool, fabulous value, works with Dremel acessories!
Wow. I got this because my 40-year old Dremel wasn't compatible with the new accessories, like the chain sharpener. I was really surprised at how nice this was. The tool is very nice - great torque, well-balanced, no vibration. The kit of accessories, the case and the flexible shaft were all very welcome bonuses. I was also very pleased to find that the Dremel accessories fit correctly. Well, done, Wen! The one caveat is their technical support. Before I bought this, I asked them if they knew if the Dremel accessories fit. With no response from them, I went ahead and bought both, knowing I could make a return if necessary. It took them 30 days (!) to respond with an answer that was equivalent to, "Duhhh." Other than that, I could not be more pleased. Buy with confidence!

For the money this is amazing!
I love this rotary tool. Mind you it’s not a 150$+ dremmel but it is a workhorse and very reliable. I see these comments of disappointed people saying it’s not up to there standards and there dremmel is better. I don’t understand that. This is a 20$ rotary tool and the best one for that price you can find. Most of these reviews are comparing to high end expensive dremmels and that doesn’t make sense to me. Anyway I like the rotary tool very much and the first thing I did was buy the keyless Chuck made by wen so I don’t have to deal with collets and have them wear out or keep changing them when I need to use a different size bit. Best investment I made. Makes life so much easier. I ended up buying 2, one for the rotary and one for the flex shaft. Also if you have never used a flex shaft you need to understand that you have to take the collar off and slide the insert out of the flex shaft so you can clamp the rotary tool on it and then screw it on where you removed the collar. I recommend every 20 to 30 hours of use with the flex shaft take the insert out and wipe the grease off and reapply a light amount of grease. That way it doesn’t heat up. I’ve found that with this particular flex shaft graphite does not work so well like other models. It will get hot with graphite. I’ve found that Valvoline red high temp bearing grease works the absolute best. You can buy it in the tube here on Amazon or at you’re local auto parts store. The high temp is what you need and it prevents grease from melting down into the handle of the flex shaft. All in all this is a win win if you understand how to maintain and take care of it. I originally got one of these because my grandfather has one and it’s over 12 years old and it’s still working. Probably has a couple thousand hours of use on his. Take care of you’re stuff it will take care of you…

Great budget multi tool
Nice little rig that fits the bill for occasional hobby use. The motor is powerful enough to polish and cut without bogging down. Bits attach securely and easily. Light and easy to use. The price is great for this multi tool. Recommended

Slows down a little with pressure but still turns and definitely workable
Almost as good as my $400 one I used to have. It does slow down a little bit with pressure and I never go above the speed of three, because it just seems like it makes more noise and then I start not trusting it. But overall, it helps me polish jewelry, and I'm super thrilled it does what I need for the price I paid. I've used about four times, and it seems like it needs oiling already because at a little bit higher speed, it smells slightly like something burning, but I just keep my eye on it and slow things down when that happens. I will oil it soon. I've used it to drill holes too. Hopefully it lasts a little while because it was such an awesome price and came with nice accessories.

Favorite DIY Sidekick
Bought this for one task: grind away an interfering piece of metal in my door’s strike plate. I was unhappy about spending $20 on another DIY tool for one tiny specific purpose but to my pleasant surprise, I haven’t stopped using this dremel since. I’ve cut and sanded wood projects, trimmed custom cabinet panels, smoothed jagged hole edges, and more. I hardly ever turn the dial past 4 to find a speed I’m comfortable with. It’s very powerful and gives great results. I bought a cheaper one that busted on the first try and I’m so happy this was my next choice. It’s handled all the fixer-upper challenges I’ve asked of it. The starter kit is a little sparse on the good stuff like saw blades and washers but very helpful. The case is convenient. My only gripe is I have to be intentional about placement to get it to close but the cord and extension tool is so long and useful that it makes up for it. It’s a little bulky but comfortable to hold and I’ve been able to reach all the narrow corners and tight spaces I’ve needed. My next project is to cut away some protruding screw threads and my immediate thought was to reach for the WEN rotary. For the amount of value I’ve gotten out of it, this thing has paid for itself a few times already.

Perfect rotary tool for light or heavy project with power.
Polishing is my main purpose for using rotary tool. I've had hardell and dremmel before. Heavy use of these tool they get hot and wear out fast. Wen rotary tool is better. It's heavy duty, twice as big, 1.5 lbs, it has big motor and variable speed without the noise. It's perfect for hobbies and for 3in polishing or sanding pad. It's polarized electric plug in. The attachments came with it is superior than any rotary tool I've used. Its a solid product. I can already tell undoubtedly this is a good product if not the best. The other rotary tool have the lock chuck button opposite of the power button which premarturely damages internal mechanism accidentally use the lock button while still spinning. Wen is power button is switch away from chuck lock button. It's not too big nor too small to use. The life expectancy for Wen rotary tool will likely be three times longer than dremmel or hardell in my guess because of its design.

So it does work, out it through its paces for 8 months, cutting and shaping everything from wood, to 1/16th inch aluminum, even cut the side out of a dell pc chassis that was steel. Today I was using it and it was running when i shut it off it was working. I flipped the power switch and was dissatisfied when it didnt turn on. I shook the power cord and it turned on for a split second so i figured the power cord broke. Being the DIY type i opened it up and replaced the cord.... still disappointed it was a no go. After taking a closer look i noticed the potentiometer that controls the devices speed was wobbly, upon closer inspection I found that the solded points of the potentiometer broke. Easy fix.. but still... a pain, and what if it was another component lets say the AC line posible fire or shock hazzard. Atleast its fixable.

Stop your search for another rotating tool now, this is the real deal my friend! Can't believe I got this for 32$... I was looking for something wired for more power, and something handy and very maniable, than this tool with an unknow brand came out of nowhere. What they called the Flex Shaft is basically a pen size adapter... very, very maniable. It is truly comparable to similar Dremel tool over 100$ in term of Amp power, and RPM (10, 000 to 32, 000 RPM). Only CON: Wrong item title. It is not true that there is 100 accessories provided with, more like 30ish (what you see on picture is what you'll get). You might need (eventually) a separate kit of bits, as the one provided is very basic, but for this price, seriously? Spoil yourself with a nicer and complete kit if you need so. Chapeau to WEN brand. I will try other tool as well.
