Major fail on a simple construction

This is ridiculously bad construction and quality. I tried to reassemble it when it arrived but the magnets were in some sort of goo and kept moving around and failed to release.

Junk. Arrived with the metal end piece off of the plastic cylinder. It was a loose fit and no way for the unit to stay together. Tried to glue it back together to make it work, but should have just returned it straight away.
