Roland’s awesome PHA-50 keys in a robust stage piano
I’ve had a Roland A88 for over a decade and wanted something with a better keyboard. I looked at their FP-90X which also has the PHA-50 keys, but read about this keyboard’s robust build. It’s made for durability with professionals in mind. Not that I’m one of those. It is 50 lbs. so I wouldn’t lightly think about taking it out of its perch in my studio. I love the touch of the PHA-50 keyboard. A huge upgrade from the PHA-4’s The onboard sounds are wonderful. If I were to take it out of the house, I’d use those and they’re a great addition to my stable of VSTs. I lucked out and got the coupon deal (now expired, alas!) Otherwise, if you have a 2000 (not the EX model) there is an upgrade that brings your 2000 sounds up to date.

Buy it. Treat yourself to something nice.
What a fantastic instrument. Great key feel. Plenty of sound options, with the ability to layer different sounds. Get a top quality stand, as this thing is heavy.

A Musical Instrument Work of Art.
I love my new Roland RD-2000 EX. Everything about it. The way it feels, especially. The way it sounds and how many different ways it sounds. Looks great too.

amazing keyboard
this keyboard is amazing, the sound settings are good and the equalizer works well. no echo like the rd88ex and sounds really great. A little tricky setting up the external speakers but not to bad. very fast shipping from amazon 4 stars on that. thanks again.

Rip off!
Rip off. Could have bought the Rd 2000 for $1200 and paid for the upgrade for a few hundred bucks. Do not buy the EX!
