This is an excellent mattress protector for a tempurpedic mattress. And, a few months later, I am still very satisfied with the quality of this mattress protector. Specifically, it holds its shape well and stays put under my sheets. It is light in weight; yet, sturdy. It has deep gussets. It is waterproof. It washes well and there have been no dryer problems. Typically, I'm not impressed with mattress pads, one way or the other. But, I've had a bad experience to compare it with. Like I mentioned earlier, this is protecting my very expensive tempurpedic mattress. When I bought the mattress, I let the store's salesperson sell me the protection she said was necessary for my mattress. That mattress cover came with a warranty which I stupidly purchased. The price of the accessories started to pile on but one wants to protect their investment. So, I bought that mattress protector and its warranty. To my eyes, it looks the same as the one I am rating here. The problem is that, after just a few washes, that expensive insured mattress cover was loose and slipping and sliding off the mattress and not protecting it wholly. I turned in an insurance claim and it was denied. I was stupid to have bought it. I left a complaint at the sales department of the FURNITURE store where I bought the mattress and the accessories. The sales lady has not returned my calls. So, except to say this mattress cover looks the same, is reasonably priced, does what it says, and doesn't offer a useless warranty...I'm happy by comparison. Sure, I'd recommend it and I'd buy it again. One gets the sense of its breathability, it's subtleness. And, when you have a mattress that is molding itself to fit your body, you may want a mattress cover, like this one, that does get in the way. You want something that isn't an impediment to the fine nuances of your mattress experience. Ah! Time for a nap, don't you think?
