Product Description Review: Nap help for alert babies! - My alert, sensitive 2.5 month old has been a terrible napper thus far. When put down for a nap, she snaps her eyes open and spends her time looking around, not napping. I got the Baby Nap Cap yesterday and tried it out today. So far, great success! She went down in her nap cap and took a 2 hour nap this morning, and is napping well again as we speak. I was worried that the cap would slip down or block her from breathing, but it is well designed. It is really just a simple baby hat with a shade piece sewn on. The fabric is soft, but the shade piece is structured so it does not cover her nose. However, to prevent baby from pulling off the cap, you should swaddle her first. This has worked great so far--I hope this wasn't just a fluke. Update: I ended up using this nap cap for months and it became one of my essential items! Helped my alert baby to learn to self-soothe and to sleep more soundly in her swing or Leachco Podster. I wish they made something like this for toddlers that would be safe for them to use (and that they would keep on!). Review: Lifesaver! - My baby needs a binky, swaddle, and something over her eyes to take a good nap. Before finding the nap cap, most naps were spent being held, with a blanket as a hood over her eyes. Now I can put her down in her bassinet without worrying about the light bothering her. Have had 0 issues with it covering her mouth/nose, but I still wouldn't recommend using it overnight or unsupervised, just to be extra safe. Side note; I saw some reviews saying that it's too small - Idk what ages those babies are but it's a perfect fit, with some grow room, on my 1mo who is ~8.5lbs. Also I ordered pink and it *did* come in pink even though the picture on the listing was showing the wrong colour.

Looks better in the picture than reality!!!
The item is very small and does not have a sufficient enough cover ( the visor size)to do the job. I did not like it.

too small for older babes
Was hoping the nap cap would block the light but my grand-daughter is 5 months old and the nap hat is for smaller babes.

This is a great product to used when baby is supervised!
This nap cap is exactly what I needed! I use it when I’m rocking my baby to sleep and it’s perfect. Of course, no kid should use this item unsupervised, but it’s perfect for a lightweight eye cover while rocking. My baby’s head circumference is ~40cm / ~16in, and this fits great. I washed it upon receipt and let it air dry, and it’s stretchy, plus can be stretched while wet if you need it to be larger/looser.

But pretty much useless
It's cute, definitely. But pretty much useless. Just irritated my baby.

Offer it in sizes, please!
It's a super cool idea but my granddaughter is almost three months old and already it barely fits her head. I will admit she's a big baby but we purchased it to help her sleep and if it doesn't stay on it can't help anything.

I love, love this cap
I love, love this cap! When I know that my daughter is ready to nap, I put the cap on her head and keep flap open enough that she can see through, but half the distractions are covered. (I personally don't use it at night, just during the day when my daughter is distracted.) I find that she then relaxes a bit and then I cover her eyes entirely and she falls fast asleep. One of my other kids woke up with light, so I kept the shade on until they woke up; this baby doesn't care if it is night or day and I can take the hat off or leave on. All said, just happy it soothes her and she naturally falls asleep on her own - a miracle! I also feel like it is safe because it does not block the airway at all or no chance for the hat to move and do so. I recommend it to all parents!!!!
